We need more ways to engage with the game other than trying to train or grind ranked. That’s our goal for 2026. Workshop characters, casual stages and items. Make it so people can have fun with their friends who are less competitive. And improve queues while we’re at it.

I’ve said it on stream, but I do agree that Rivals 2 triggers more rage than most fighting games. It’s not just the character kits though imo. It goes back to our goal of trying to blend the existing communities of Melee, Ult, Rivals and PM under one roof.

@awtisym @cinnawaifu From experience I think this is a bad way to look at it. If your first step is to fix your sleep schedule, then you'll lose motivation the first time you mess it up again. It's a good goal, but you should have other things to work on even if you accidentally wake up at 3pm.
