Prepared, Not Panicked: This Is a Long Fight
Most of you who follow me have been preparing for terrorist attacks for the last 18 months to two years. In late December 2025, many of you shifted from preparation mode to vigilance mode, be confident in the fact you are ready if something does pop off.
For those who are new here and feeling anxious, do not be. Fear is what terrorists want. Prepared citizens are what they fear.
We watched terrorists exploit our open border for years. The Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Kent publicly acknowledged that 18,000 Islamist terrorists were inside the United States. This threat is the exact same today as it was three days ago. The threat environment did not begin with Iran, and it will not end with Iran.
Preparation is not political. It is practical.
No one is coming to save you. That is reality. You prepare your family. You build trusted networks. You stay situationally aware. Stick to those basics and discard the noise.
And understand this clearly: this is not a threat measured in weeks or months. It is likely a decade long security challenge. That means discipline, not panic. Sustainable readiness, not emotional reactions.
The government should have been more honest about the scope of the threat. It existed regardless of any decision related to Iran. Pretending otherwise did not make it disappear. Please, be informed and stay that way.
I have shared posts over the past couple years to help you prepare responsibly, and will start linking them below.

@Rich_Cooper @GeorgeBruno I don’t like it, but it needed to be done. I was in Afghanistan. I don’t want another war. We’ve lost 3 already. But I’m glad it’s done. Iran govt really sucked ass and they were the primary funding of numerous terror cells around the world.
English

If the losses for al Qaeda get to be too much, I fear that they will launch a US Homeland attack as retaliation.
Something along the lines of "pick your own targets." It doesn't take much coordination to just unleash sleeper cells.

BIG BREAKING: 🇵🇰🇦🇫 Pakistan has launched airstrikes on multiple locations inside Afghanistan, with jets still flying and additional strikes being reported moments ago. Pakistan says the operation is targeting Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, Al-Qaeda, and Islamic State militants, as air operations remain ongoing.

@sarahadams @WakeelMubariz I get the feeling he will not comply.
English

@WakeelMubariz Wakeel just stop. Nothing is going to make this better for the Taliban.
English

❌ False: The claim that the Taliban have enacted new laws.
✅ What has been done is a codification. In other words, provisions that were already being applied have been compiled into a written legal text (the Criminal Procedure Code) in order to ensure legal clarity.
❌ False: The claim that slavery has been reinstated.
✅ The law states that its provisions apply to everyone without distinction between free and slave, male and female, Muslim and non-Muslim, adult and child.
The expression “free–slave” is a reference to the classical Islamic legal principle of “generality.”
It is a legal formula emphasizing that no one is exempt before the law and that the law applies to everyone without exception.
❌ False: The claim that beating women and family members has been made permissible.
✅ According to the published legal text, if a husband beats and injures his wife, it constitutes a crime punishable by imprisonment.
Furthermore, except in exceptional legal justifications such as legitimate self-defense, the intentional killing of a woman or a man is punishable by qisas (capital punishment).
❌ False: The claim that scholars have the privilege to commit crimes or are exempt from punishment.
✅ In serious crimes requiring “hudud” punishments—such as theft, adultery, false accusation (slander), alcohol consumption, and highway robbery, everyone including scholars, is subject to the same rulings. Only in discretionary offenses (ta’zir), which are left to the judge’s discretion, is a warning procedure provided for at the initial stage.
❌ False: The claim that a married woman will be sentenced to three months in prison for visiting relatives without permission.
✅ The penalty does not apply for visiting relatives. It applies if a woman leaves the family home without a legitimate reason and, despite her husband’s request and the court’s order to “return,” refuses to go back. In such a case, up to three months’ imprisonment may be imposed on the woman or on those preventing her return.
❌ False: The claim that society has been divided into classes and that punishments are determined according to a person’s status (class).
✅ A practice similar to the principle of “individualization of punishment,” which also exists in modern legal systems, is applied. The judge may increase or decrease the sentence within legal limits by considering the defendant’s background, social relations, level of remorse, and behavior after the act. This is not class discrimination but judicial discretion.
❌ False: The claim that girls’ education has been completely banned.
✅ The text of the law contains no reference to this matter.
❌ False: The claim that hairdressers and barbers will be shut down.
✅ The text of the law contains no reference to this matter either.
👉 ASSESSMENT: The source of the allegations targeting the new legal regulations in Afghanistan is the Saudi Arabia–based Al Hadath channel. The claims published on this channel are translated and circulated in other media channels as well.

“How about breakfast on the beach?” I asked.
She nodded.
We held hands as we walked along the shore to a small breakfast spot. We ate quietly, unhurried, the ocean doing most of the talking for us. These are the moments you don’t forget. The only pics of that night were in our heads, never to be forgotten

Rock and roll, salt air, and olives.
I spent thirty-five years in hard-core biker bars. The music was always good, always loud in the right way, the kind that rattles your chest before it reaches your ears. I haven’t been out much since I stopped drinking, stopped eating garbage, stopped staying up late just to prove I could. These days I rise early and keep my life clean. But I loved those places. The grit. The unspoken camaraderie. The parking lots packed with beautiful cars, work trucks, and custom motorcycles that looked like they had stories burned into their frames. They were always a great date too. Only one woman ever complained that I took her to a biker bar instead of a restaurant. She didn’t last long.
Disrespect doesn’t survive in places like that. It’s handled quickly and quietly, no scenes, no theatrics. You don’t see pretty boys or fancy girls. No bottle service, no sparklers, no electronic nonsense. Just people, music, and a code.
That night, she was with me. I watched her take it all in, her eyes wide with a kind of wonder I hadn’t seen in a long time. She’d never experienced anything like it. She loved it. We sat at the bar drinking iced tea, eating lettuce wraps and buffalo wings while the band absolutely tore the place up. She couldn’t get over how friendly everyone was, how warmth lived beneath those rough exteriors. I wore my usual uniform: jeans, black belt, diver’s watch, fitted black t-shirt, boots. She wore long khaki pants, a simple tank top, sneakers. Long hair, no makeup, nothing but a great smile and crystal blue eyes. That was the first stop of the night.
The second place was different. A surfer bar. Softer around the edges. One guy on stage, a singer-songwriter who somehow sounded like an entire band. Pedals everywhere. Guitars. Even a violin off to the side that caught my eye. He’d play a song on guitar, then pick up the violin and layer the riffs on top. It was unreal. We sat on stools near the stage, tucked into the corner. I went to the men’s room, then passed by the pool tables in the back where my brother Tony was wiping the floor with his opponent. When I came back, she wasn’t on the stool.
She was dancing. Alone. Free. Hippie-ish, Woodstock style. Hair flying everywhere, not concerned with how she looked, not performing for anyone. She wasn’t a dancer in the technical sense. She was just moving, unselfconscious and alive. I didn’t interrupt her. I stayed back and watched. When the song ended, I dropped five bucks into the tip bix at the edge of the stage. She came back to me, kissed me, smiled like we were in on something no one else could see.
The next song was slower. Romantic without trying too hard. I wrapped my arms around her waist and we danced through a couple songs. She rested her face against my shoulder and neck. She smelled like olives, that clean, natural scent women have when they take care of themselves. It was intoxicating in the quietest way.
Later, we walked back to where we were staying. No rush. No noise. We brushed our teeth, splashed water on our faces. She did her girl ritual in the bathroom and came out with her hair brushed, wearing a smirk I knew meant she was perfectly content. She still smelled like olives and salt air as we were staying on the beach. She slipped into my boxers and my t-shirt, my usual sleep clothes, and somehow made them hers. We fluffed the pillows, slid under the covers, and she wrapped herself around me like yin and yang. We were asleep in minutes.
I wake early no matter what time I go to bed. She was still out cold. I made coffee quietly and sat at the desk across the suite. I started the Daybreak Show. Somewhere in the middle of it, she woke up. She came over, kissed my temple, rubbed my back, poured herself coffee, and sat nearby listening while I finished. When I said, “And with that, finish your coffee, and I’ll see you on the next Daybreak Show, the only home of sanity, clarity, and reason,” I looked over at her. She smiled.
