$TSLA merger rumors are really putting those of us that like to sell $TLSA covered calls in a pickle. If I cover all of my shares at, e.g., a $350 strike and $TSLA and $SPCX announce an acquisition of $TSLA at $600/share (rumored number that sounds fake), then I would lose all share appreciation between $350-$600/share, which is almost a doubling in value. It's not the risk right now. Now I personally don't think a merger is going to happen any time soon. I'm sure @elonmusk and the $TSLA board would have to pay a big premium in $TSLA shares to appease retail share holders but $600 certainly seems to be a reach. Even if it is a reach, I've been in TSLA for years waiting for autonomy to pay off so selling CCs with the risk of a merger announcement risks those years of waiting. Here's why I don't think it will happen: $TSLA stock price has underperformed for 5 years while investors wait for EPS to catch up to its valuation. For that, we need high margin autonomy revenue. Maybe that's months away, maybe years. Regardless, the biggest tail wind on share appreciation is EPS. $SPCX had only $19 billion in revenue in 2025 and sits at a 1.5 Trillion market cap. The other tech companies around that market cap have revenue in 100s of billions of dollars. $SPCX is likely to have the same problem that $TSLA has suffered for the last 5 years, i.e., waiting for EPS to grow into the valuation. This problem is only going to get worse if you merge these two companies into a publicly traded company. If $TLSA and $SPCX merge, I would take the buyout of my TSLA shares and would not hold the merged public entity. It would take years for the EPS to catch up to the 3T valuation.

I don’t want to update this now from this morning. $tsla has a problem if you want to compare it to how others have been trading. Money is going somewhere else and not to tsla. Its not going to make me change my holdings but just an interesting observation.
