@WDPhotography3 @TFCGooner2 Yeah it was definitely that in my community at first, but the surrounding communities I guess it had/has alot of history. There’s a ton of indigenous areas out here on the east coast, particularly NS and NB, so the modern popularity of the game here goes back to it’s roots

@Searl04 @TFCGooner2 I think it is a regional thing. In my area (Barrie ON) I don’t think it’s ever been very popular. Mainly a sport for hockey kids to keep busy in the offseason.

@Searl04 @CanadaSoccerEN The issue is they are just missing blatantly obvious calls that can be seen from one quick angle from a screen. It’s one thing to go to var for extensive angles and for tight offsides but man we talking about clips like this… OBVIOUS

At some point the CPL have to consider some sort of replay system if VAR isn’t doable Because this would have taken 2 seconds on the bloody TV feed to see it was a penalty What is going on guys? @CanadaSoccerEN

@edbenhin @CanadaSoccerEN Yeah I thought the same thing, give the 4th official a screen to look at in real time and he/she can blow the play dead to let the ref look at whatever angles are available I know VAR is hard to do in all 8 stadiums, but some kind of expanded visual system?

@WDPhotography3 @TFCGooner2 It’s huge here in a Halifax, that said - it didn’t shock me that it caught on fast here, because when I was in high school (not gonna age myself but let’s just say 20 years is soon) a lot of guys played it I’ll say with the next gen, it’ll be a mainstream sport with volleyball

@edbenhin @CanadaSoccerEN I have faith only in the sense that there’s a huge influx of referees the last 18-24ish months. It may not be today or tomorrow but give it a few years we might see some genuinely good refs coming up These guys and girls that we have now are all set in their pre-CPL ways
