@FifthCrichton @SoundTransit Somebody needs to update ST staff. I was at SODO and was told the trains restarted as the staff reopened the station and removed the barriers.

@noahsbwilliams Do you see any action following parking enforcement reports. In the past they were giving some tickets, now it seems requests are ignored.

Tell us again how the actions that would allow us to avoid the #ClimateCrisis were “too expensive.”
None of the record-breaking, historic or “100 year” events we’ve been seeing a lot of lately are the “new normal.” Because it’s actually going to keep getting exponentially worse.

@DCava101 Thanks for correction, for some reasons I really thought we had a complete street here with bike lanes and bus lanes in both directions but it is indeed one way.

@SeattleBikeDad The bike lane is southbound only. Sadly, there is no section of Delridge with northbound bike lanes. Of course, you point still stands.

Another Google street view picture : because of the Toronto-style bus stop, the visibility on the bike lane is limited due to stopped buses, people waiting, or just the fact that the bike lane is behind the shelter, so this safety improvement is important.

This is the “wall” that he wants to remove. Turning left here would require to cross 2 lanes of traffic + a bi-directional bike lane… I’m sure drivers will always check and yield to cyclists coming from the 2 directions when trying to squeeze between cars

@Jrock08 We have a couple of non daylighted marked crosswalks next to our local school, but anyone walking more than 2 blocks from the school will have to cross at unmarked crosswalks… they usually do the minimum…

@ladyfleur @troutgirl The big difference is the late focus on rail transit in Seattle Area. This lead Seattle to have a much larger number of bus rides compares to cities of similar size. Sound Transit is extending light rail but it’s still work in progress…

I attended a corporate event in downtown Seattle with colleagues, mostly from Silicon Valley. Many were quite surprised I commuted by bus instead of driving. Why would I want to be stuck in traffic and pay $18 for parking?
If the venue had secure bike parking I would have biked.

@NWCBailFund If you’re curious I dropped the kid at school like everyday (by bike). and then dropped the bike to hop on the bus. If I have secure parking at destination I just go directly by bike after dropping kid…

PSA: Every intersection is a legal crosswalk under Washington law… maybe it’s time for some enforcement of this law…
