The Department of the Navy takes the conduct shown in this video extremely seriously. Such statements and apparent intent to leverage a position to undermine the policies and direction set by our elected leaders are inappropriate and incompatible with the standards expected of Department personnel. The Golden Fleet isn’t just about growing the Fleet—it’s about keeping it in the fight. At Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, the skilled workers, engineers, and Sailors showed Members of Congress how taxpayer investments keep our warships ready to deploy, adversaries deterred, and our @USNavy prepared for whatever comes next. We’re modernizing maintenance, accelerating repairs, and improving deployment cycles so more warships spend less time in the yard and more time at sea—where they belong.

It was an honor to spend time with the Sailors who stand the watch. Walking through the barracks at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay reinforced a simple truth: our Marines deserve living conditions that match the standards they uphold every day. We’re overhauling how we manage and maintain our barracks—professionalizing management, modernizing facilities, and accelerating renovations by moving from a 32-year refresh cycle to just 10 years. Taking care of our warfighters starts with taking care of where they live.

As part of a Navy-wide push, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) is enhancing barracks across 50 installations. Backed by the $2.4 million in One Big Beautiful Bill funding allocated directly to NAS Lemoore, the Navy is executing critical, targeted upgrades to address life, health, and safety issues that were ignored for years. As CNIC Commander Vice Adm. Scott Gray said, “Quality of service is inseparable from readiness. Providing safe, comfortable, and clean housing is not optional.” This is the new model: we invest in Sailor quality of life—better barracks, modernized maintenance, and upgraded amenities—so our troops can rest, recover, and be ready to fight. U.S. forces resumed the naval blockade against vessels transiting to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas today at 4 p.m. ET. There are currently more than 20 U.S. Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft operating across the Middle East. American forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready.
