@smartroad78 @EVCircles You have no visible feedback nor hotspot control like you use with woks. Gas is easier to be precise with, less efficient yes but gives more control. Also gas stoves tend to be far more durable.

@SeductiveLiquid @EVCircles We have an induction hob and it is the best of both worlds, instantaneous-ness of gas with the safety of electric. And you have an extra work surface if you need it and really easy to keep clean.

Pretty disappointing to see this shit from Mighty Car Mods who have until now been pretty strong on “cars as a community”. They’re getting hit pretty hard in the comments so that’s something.

No dude, you didn't read, these mofos are on a don't tell if they don't ask motto, anything to get you to sign including refraining from telling you anything. I asked questions, they gave me bullshit answers. It wasn't until after everything they finally start telling me the truth. This was on purpose deceitful predatory lending to prey on people they know are poor and have no other choice. I also found out it had a gps tracker and an ignition kill switch, on a damn 5k van which was actually worth about 3k but you know how they up charge. TOTAL scam business like wtf.

@BeormasSpam @Sargon_of_Akkad Politics is indeed about majority rule, yes. Locals often get screwed when more locals vote for things they don't want. A good example is London and ULEZ. Many suburbs and drivers didn't want ULEZ but it was expanded and rolled out into areas that specifically didn't want it.

Terrible, vindictive, ideological politics. Not a responsible steward of the land, but instead a partisan attack on political opponents because a percentage of the constitutency voted the wrong way. Atrocious.
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage

If you vote Reform you will not have an illegal migrant deportation facility in your area. We will hold migrants awaiting deportation in constituencies that vote Green instead. You get what you vote for.

@TmosMonstrocity @CrazyyHub This sounds like a "I was given a contract and deal and I still signed even though it was financially abysmal" issue. Just don't buy things like this. Don't agree to terrible finance plans.

It's not legal in all states, just states where they don't give a F about the people. Namely red states. They know used cars are only good for 5 years, 22 years? Man that is a debt trap, exploiting customers. Predatory lending, predatory salesman, exploitation. One more thing, look up pre-computed interest rate. Meaning you can't pay of the loan sooner, you are still liable for the whole of the interest rate. I bought a van for 3k when all teh paperwork was done it was 12 grand precomputed interest rate, I was like pre computed wtf is that. They didn't tell me until after I signed what that was. Long story short I gave that mofo right back.

@smartroad78 @EVCircles Ovens elec is better because it's food you shove in and leave it. For stoves, gas is better, far more control, can create hot spots etc and manipulate where the heat is better, plus visible alert of how much heat you're applying.

@EVCircles Thing is most of his meals are probably cooked in an electric oven or hob. And even if it is a gas oven/hob it is still not being cooked by the flame directly.

@Isa_Smooch @nnoyingnome @Mr_Andrew_Fox The NHS has huge funding and enormous staffing yet it's always "lacking funds" and "lacking staff". It's one of the largest employers globally, but it's never enough and yet at best scrapes middle ground for patient outcomes, while also having huge wait lists etc.

@Isa_Smooch @nnoyingnome @Mr_Andrew_Fox You're mislead to think it matters. Person A being a billionaire doesn't actually impact you. The idea their wealth can be redistributed to fix issues is an on paper view, but in reality, it would do nothing, not even if every billionaire had their wealth redistributed. Example:

@Emma_h_mua @Floatymcfloater @brianbassett59 The increases in min wages and increases in NI contributions have made it harder for all people to find "starting" jobs because of costs to companies, and the issue is increased the younger a potential employee is. It's already an issue and this would make it worse.

@OwenPaintbrush The outcome is, that coffee price has to go up to cover wage increases. Coffee on its own makes decent profit, but running a brick and mortar business is expensive. That 15ph increase could bump operating costs by 5-10k which could then have NI implications, making it worse...

@OwenPaintbrush Let's entertain your idiocy for a moment. In a suburb of London you open a coffee shop. You're looking at, per year, needing 150k+ of sales to cover wages of 1.5-2 staff members, utilities, rent, insurance etc before you even pay yourself anything/tax. That's 25k £6 coffees.

Self-confessed millionaire Peter doesn't want to pay his employees enough money to live on. He'd rather pay them poverty wages so they have to rely on in-work benefits funded by the taxpayer. That way, he gets to keep his millions and the rest of us continue to get ripped off.
Peter McCormack 🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪@PeterMcCormack

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

@Emma_h_mua @Floatymcfloater @brianbassett59 Doesn't matter. Employers are like insurance, they assess risk when hiring. Younger staff are a bigger risk and usually less skilled due to less experience. If the costs are the same, you default to the lower risk path, hire older staff.

@GeneralFoxxxy Minimum wage is lower for younger people to encourage the hiring of younger people so they can start building experience and talent. You do not want employers withholding jobs for only older, more experienced staff.

This thirst-trap headline makes a positive sound like a negative. Car drives like 3x more miles than the average car does in its life - still drives well with no mechanical issues - and still has 2/3 of its original battery's useable range. If anything, this is a testament to EV durability and longevity.

Why do Tesla customers like their vehicles more than any other manufacturer in the world. Why can’t Ferrari beat Tesla on customer loyalty when they actually require you to purchase other Ferrari models before you can make a deposit on certain other models. Let’s go to expert @ZacksJerryRig who should have no problem explaining this.
