I once heard a theory that somewhere behind the curtain sits a machine dedicated to managing bloodlines. Not just records, but genealogies, family trees, and even the public confidence placed in consumer DNA tests. The claim was simple. If people ever saw an unfiltered map of who is connected to whom, they’d understand how many positions of power/celeb circulate through the same branches of the same tree. You would find influence inherited more often than earned. Doors opened before the knock. Wealth protecting wealth. Names feeding names. And outside that circle, the rest are left to build themselves the hard way. No silver spoon, and no family runway. Just pressure, instinct, and will. That forges something sharper than privilege ever could.

@SaniOSRS @shortdood47 You believe that generalized nonsense about a country of 90 million people and you're calling others schizo? These are regular people just like you and I, just born in a different place. Who are we to dictate other countries? I'm tired of the West acting like our shit don't stink

@SaniOSRS @shortdood47 Says the citizen (I assume) of a country that has over 800 military bases across the globe, that has enacted multiple coups on "the lunatics" which set them back decades and even decided who would be in charge of them? Sure buddy, they're the lunatics

@PNWConservative He's a scumbag. Him and every other businessman who took advantage of Washington's naivete towards big business and molded our home into their liking. And when Washington wises up and tried to get them to settle their bill they find another place to worm into. He can kick rocks

I believe Schultz made the best decision for his family/fortune he built. I’d do the same. But what chaps my ass is that he championed the “progressive” policies that paved the way for this illegal tax… and once it hit…. He leaves… Another Dishonorable virtue signaler.

@KYRRadio Stop whining about the tax and start addressing the use of a general fund and a lack of oversight and transparency about spending. Tax nightmares are inevitable when everyone has access to the giant pile of money that we all contribute to. Spending is a black hole at the moment

@naynerz Proper taxation on excessive income is a good thing, however as many people have already pointed out, Washington's problem is its spending. The general fund needs to be replaced with a more efficient means to manage the states funds. This pile of money thing does not work

What bothers me about this bill, as someone who was born and raised in Seattle and spent half my childhood in Island County, is not just the tax itself. It is the worldview behind it. Of course we want to support early education, school lunches, and programs that help uplift the most marginalized people in our communities. That is not the issue. The issue is whether the state actually understands who it is targeting, who it is hurting, and whether it can be trusted to distinguish between durable wealth and the fragile economics of people trying to build something. Washington keeps writing statewide tax policy as if the whole state is Seattle. It is not. This state, Seattle especially, loves to perform its liberalism. It talks constantly about progress, equity, and protecting the vulnerable. But bills like this expose how selective that politics can be. When statewide tax policy is written around a narrow image of wealth, it does not just touch Seattle tech workers. It also reaches family-owned and pass-through businesses across the state, including people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who built something over time and do not live anything like the caricature of the wealthy. Across the state, there are family-owned businesses, small operators, and early-stage companies where income is irregular, cyclical, and often tied up in keeping the business alive. In those businesses, the real risk is not the average year. It is the unusual year — the year when several years of work, reinvestment, or one strong season finally shows up as income on paper. That is what this bill misunderstands. It treats that kind of income as excess personal wealth, when in many cases it is the very capital a business needs to survive, hire, grow, and reach the next stage. That is why this bill is so destructive. It kills family-owned and operated businesses that are already trying to make it. It kills startups before they ever have the chance to become durable. And while the American Dream is often more myth than reality, this bill punishes even the attempt at upward mobility in a system that is already stacked against ordinary people. As a woman of color founder building a women’s brand, I now find myself researching where I need to move my business in order to give it the best chance of surviving — and where I can eventually build something that rewards the employees who help me get there. That is the problem with bills like this. Even if today it is 9.9% above $1 million, the moment the mechanism exists, people start asking the obvious next question: when does 9.9 become 10? When does $1 million become $900,000? When do success, marriage, or growth become things the state quietly teaches you to fear? And I do not absolve myself of responsibility for any of this. I voted for this governor. I contributed to the American Dream Killer, and I 100% regret my vote.
Governor Bob Ferguson@GovBobFerguson

Washington state families with income in the bottom 20% pay 13.8% of their total income in taxes. Those with income in the top 1% pay only 4.1% of their income. We rank 50th in tax fairness. It's time to change our upside-down tax system.

I’m from Washington state. It’s a shithole where I am from. It’s just like the rust belt or Appalachia. It’s a bunch of old machinist jobs kept afloat by Boeing contracts. But Boeing started leaving. And the old machinists couldn’t find work and started abusing opioids. Pills first. Then H. Now fent. In my high school, ten kids died in 4 years. All drugs. More died in car crashes. I think it’s worse than Appalachia- Because at least shit in Appalachia is cheap. For some reason Washington is expensive. Look up the housing prices sometime. 50 minutes outside of Seattle, a 1960s townhouse costs you 600k. It’s the worst state in the country to live in. Horrible weather. Extremely expensive. And now you get taxes too. I left when I turned 18. It was cheaper for me to move to LA than stay. People talk shit on California, but at least the wages match the cost. And you get the weather. And a diverse job market. And the homeless problem is BETTER HERE. Somehow Washington low rolled every single thing on the board. Best of luck, I love the summers though.
Governor Bob Ferguson@GovBobFerguson

The Millionaires’ Tax passed by the House represents historic progress in rebalancing our unfair system. It sends significant dollars back to Washington families and small businesses. It expands the Working Families Tax Credit to 460,000 additional households – that’s money straight back into the pockets of working families. It saves working parents money and ensures our kids are prepared to learn by funding free breakfast and lunch for all Washington K-12 students, which has been a priority of mine since I ran for governor. The Millionaires’ Tax will apply to less than one half of one percent of Washingtonians, but make life more affordable for millions. I look forward to signing it.

@DouglasHvc21255 @Seanfrank These people's way of life was upended by urbanism and "progression." There's a reason rural communities are no longer self-sustaining, relying only on tourism to keep the lights on and the taxman away. No shit they turn to easy comforts. Be kind to your neighbor

Hi everyone. This is Ethan, Kyra’s husband writing from her account. It has taken me a while to find the strength to post this, but I wanted to reach out to the people here who knew her and cared about her, because this community meant so much to her and I want you to hear from me about the person behind the name you all know and loved. A number of months ago, while Kyra was pregnant, we experienced the heartbreaking loss of our baby due to complications. It was a grief she carried quietly but profoundly. She tried so fucking hard to keep moving forward, to hold herself together, and to find moments of peace, all while battling her own illness and the heavy weight of her depression. She fought longer and so much harder than anyone could ever know, but ultimately, the pain became too much, and she lost that fight and took her own life. Many of you within her community knew her as Topsiee, but to me she was just Kyra. My wife, my partner, the love of my life and the most loving and caring woman I’ve ever known. She had a very gentle, open heart and a compassion for others that touched everyone around her. She always wanted people to feel welcome, included, valued and seen. Even when she was hurting, she thought about how to make others smile. How to bring comfort or light to someone else's day, and how to create little moments of joy in the lives of those she cared about. This community was one of those places where she found real joy. She spoke often about the laughter, kindness, and lifelong friendships she found here. Sharing this space with all of you gave her moments of happiness and comfort, and reminded her of the goodness that still exists even in hard times. She cherished it deeply. Kyra’s love wasn’t just something she shared with her family or close friends. She carried it with her everywhere. She cared so much about people she had never met, wanted others to feel seen, and tried to make the world around her a little brighter whenever she could. That love and care were constant parts of who she was, online and off, and I feel so lucky to have known the real heart behind the name so many of you knew. Her life, though far far too short, left a mark on myself and on so many others she touched. She reminded us that even small acts of kindness and moments of connection can matter in ways we don’t always realize in that moment. That was her gift. To make people feel valued, to lift them up, and to share warmth in a way that was uniquely hers. Please keep her memory alive in the ways she loved most. Through kindness, through laughter, and through caring for one another, in the same gentle and thoughtful ways she always tried to. She was loved by so many and she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my little lovebug.

----- 1) If the past were eternal, there would be infinitely many moments before now. ----- 2) To reach the present, those moments would have to be traversed one by one. ----- 3) But an infinite sequence cannot be completed step-by-step. ----- 4) Yet we have arrived at the present moment. ----- 5) Therefore the past cannot be infinite.

🚨 What If Our Universe Is Just One Bubble in an Endless Cosmic Ocean? Imagine blowing soap bubbles into the air. One bubble forms… then another… and another… spreading endlessly in every direction. Now imagine something even more astonishing: scientists believe the universe might work in a similar way. This mind-bending idea is called Eternal Inflation. According to this theory, the universe did not simply begin with one Big Bang and stop there. Instead, the process that created our universe may still be happening right now, somewhere far beyond what we can see. Space itself could still be expanding and creating entirely new universes again and again. Think of it like a giant cosmic foam. Each bubble in this foam is a separate universe. Inside every bubble, a Big Bang occurs, galaxies form, stars ignite, and perhaps life begins to evolve. Our universe — with its billions of galaxies and trillions of stars — may simply be one small bubble floating in an endless ocean of other universes. And here is where the mystery deepens. These other universes might not follow the same rules as ours. The laws of physics could be completely different. Gravity might be stronger or weaker. Time itself might flow in strange ways. Some universes might collapse instantly, while others could last forever. Some might even contain strange forms of life we cannot imagine. The most unsettling part is this: if Eternal Inflation is true, then the multiverse may be infinite. There could be universes where history played out differently… universes where civilizations rose and vanished… and perhaps even universes where another version of you is asking the same question right now. Yet we may never be able to see these other bubbles. The space between universes is expanding faster than light, making them forever unreachable. They exist beyond our cosmic horizon, hidden behind the limits of physics itself. So when you look up at the night sky, remember something extraordinary. The billions of galaxies we see might not be the whole universe at all. They could just be a tiny region inside one cosmic bubble — drifting quietly within an infinite sea of other universes that will remain forever unknown. And somewhere out there… new universes may still be being born. 🌌

We're at a crossroads as a species. We can either continue trying to dominate one another and inevitably spell our own destruction, or we can choose to rise above as a people and help each other up to bring forth a new age of humanity, as a collaborative effort by all humans

It's interesting to think about how the proliferation of big box stores (Walmart, Fred meyers, etc) have negatively affected rural America, and in turn encouraged "bad behavior." All of a sudden, the farmers producing for the local farmers market can't compete with the low prices
