No but i will say the purge shit was stupid as fuck for several reason:
They destroyed their own buildings
They allowed jumping
Wasting city budget on buildings and you lose strong citizens off chance
If it was me i'd have set up a one v one battle royale at a scheduled time

@_38mb @MallowTheQueen Instead of the smart approach that ARC took which essentially keeps all maps in the meta. Perimeter is a GREAT map, there’s just no reason to go there, and that’s such a waste, especially considering that you don’t spend a significant part of your early time there anyways.

@_38mb @MallowTheQueen Maps as progression is an extremely short sighted strategy. It’s also a waste of all the resources that went into making these maps because they basically act as a funnel which makes them obsolete as you progress as a player. Then you wipe and go through it again.

I think every match of Dire Marsh should be guaranteed to spawn either a Lockdown, Anomalous Matter, or Scorch Warden, with the potential for 2 or all 3. Outside of completing contracts, the map feels kinda aimless without one or two of these things to drive players somewhere

YES. I’ll probably never go back and rewatch Invincible, but I’m enjoying the ride. It’s pretty low tier from an artistic standpoint and while I do hate that for them, it is what it is.

I genuinely think that “I’d rather get cheap animation than wait years between seasons” mindset stems from subconsciously looking at the show as content rather than art. In 10 years when it’s all said and done and the show ages like milk you’ll wish they took their time instead.

@meloneslada It’s not all that different than Pistol start in WZ. What makes it like a BR is that it’s equalized. Most BRs just choose having nothing as the equalizer. Having something, if everyone else has similar or same something is still equalized.

Marathon will likely continue to wean away from being solely an extraction shooter (i.e. the BR style sponsored kit experimental playlist). Halo had campaign, sweaty PvP and social PvP/forge. Destiny had strikes/RaDs, Crucible and Gambit (lolz). If Marathon is to be a 10 year franchise, then it must follow the success patterns of Bungies predecessors. Extraction should be just one pillar of a more in depth universe of player options.
