Operations that rent more than 50% of their row crop acres are typically hit harder in a downturn. This is due to the fact than when you own acres and take a loan to make the purchase, your loan payment amount stays the same for 30 years and eventually will be a manageable payment as yield increases and there is inflation. Contrary to owned ground, rental rates are always moving higher with the inflation, making these operations to work long term. This is the advantage of buying and owning your ground.

@TheDailyCowman I see it is not tagged…is she not a bluffer?!

PLEASE SHARE.... I am putting this out here to try to get the TRUTH out and STOP misinformation that is damning to my reputation/business. I/my kids DID NOT BID or register on any of the land rent auctions around Wishek/Zeeland ND area. The rents went almost double of current prices and am being accused that I bid/won all 3 of them... I am not sure who/why started the rumors and I have called some people that I respect in the area to find out what they have heard, and man I get the feeling they are pissed(rightfully so) and don't really believe me. This is NOT what i do or have ever done. I did not get where I am by "running rents". I have NO interest in bidding on a rent auction as I want long term landlords, not ones who might put on auction every 3 yrs. The damage this misinformation is causing with friends, current landlords, reputation etc, is horrible/frustrating.. I found out this morning it was talked about at an ag meeting in Fargo!!! Wtf. So from that statewide meeting , it is being spread statewide and I am being accused of being a land "pig/rent pusher" statewide and that is NOT how I want to be known... I am trying to get in contact with Pifer auction company and get them to prove that I wasn't even registered to bid on anything. Thank you for taking the time to read this .
