No nation, no society, and no international order can call itself just and humane if it measures its success solely by power or prosperity while neglecting those who live at the margins. Indeed, Christ’s love for the least and the forgotten compels us to reject every form of selfishness that leaves the poor and the vulnerable invisible.
@FrannieBlock heard you today with @ScottJenningsKY i was struck by your comment that average salaries for teachers is decreasing. Is that calculation controlled for length of employment? As older higher paid teachers retire they are replaced with younger lesser paid teachers
@AvaGrace9211 Sadly, many of us limited in some way in our lives by the parental role models we had.
But remember they were similarly limited by the role models they had.
Each generation must try to improve on something handed to them, good or bad, from their parents.
This video hit home.
It shows how important being in your kids lives is so important!
The oldest son’s face / reactions when he realizes his father never did anything with his own dad. Sadly this is reality for many kids and adults.
Fifty years to the day. A lot has changed. And a lot hasn’t. If we still have it in us to smile at the future, regardless of how long that might still be, we are blessed.
@Skippy my wife, family and I have used Skippy creamy peanut butter for decades. Recently we purchased two 40 ounce jars with a best buy of October 2026. Each jar is oily. I never experienced this before. What's up?
I’ll be on in the 4:00 pm hour with the great Mike Opelka. He’s not as pretty as Mary Walter, but I still love him. We’ll be talking abortion pills and the Supremes. 1210 am WPHT or on the Audacy App. @stuntbrain@MaryWalterRadio@1210WPHT@Audacy
John Fetterman's had a 108 pt drop in his net approval with PA Dems since 2023.
His net rating is -40 pt net approval with them.
His net popularity with his own party is worse than all senators who lost a primary this century.
There's no historical analog to his unpopularity.
@kevincorke#missingscientists Are you familiar with the plot of Atlas Shrugged? Are we sure that the missing scientists haven't left to go to the Gulch? "Who is John Galt?"
@Duracell in the course of a year my wife goes a ton of AA batteries. We decided to cut down on our contribution to landfills.
Since February we have purchased 6 4 packs of rechargeable AA batteries.
Today one of the batteries will not charge.
What should my expectations be?
Got into it with a stranger at a mcdonald’s today and now I’m sitting here wondering if I’m the one in the wrong. We finished eating and left our table how it normally looks, tray, wrappers, nothing crazy. As we’re walking out, this older guy stops us and starts going off about how we’re “disrespectful” for not throwing everything away ourselves. That’s where I got confused. We paid for the food… and the service. In my mind, part of that is the staff coming around and clearing tables. It’s not a sit-down restaurant, but it’s also not like there’s a big sign saying you’re REQUIRED to clean up either Next thing you know it turns into a whole scene, voices raised, and somehow WE end up being the ones asked to leave like we did something completely out of line. Now I’m actually thinking about it, has this become some unspoken rule that everyone’s just expected to follow now🤔 Or was that guy just doing way too much🧐Be honest… are you throwing your stuff away at places like that or leaving it for staff🤷 I mean it is their job to clean up after the customers..
@TaylorRMarshall Please tell me why.
I became a Catholic 35 years ago.
Prior to that, growing up in an evangelical church, I "cut my theological teeth" on the Scofield Bible. I loved the Cross references and commentaries.
