@espn Maybe one of the easiest paths ever. Clemson without best player, Florida played their worst game in years, and Nebraska who’s awful. Houston may win by 40
Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor is scheduled to meet with the #Chiefs later this week according to @FieldYates
Proctor is regarded as a first round talent.

IF I were Tua's agent, I'd call #Chiefs HC Andy Reid about the back-up spot in Kansas City. He could use this season as a learning tool to advance his NFL Career, and he'd be solid insurance for Mahomes. @ChiefsBlitz
@trophycaribou21@geoffschwartz Yeah, you could be right. Iowa failing to protect the coaches and players in a vulnerable moment like the hand shake line could definitely lead to any one of those things
If you rush the court/field and get into the face of a player or coach this response is justified imo. Been in this spot a few times (before camera phones). You’re just trying to finish shaking hands or getting off the field and drunk college students are running directly at you trying to bait you.
@DrAnakwenze@Simon_Ingari If they are telling them they cant hire them due to the 60 day notice period, then they have nothing to lose by calling them out
HR: What is your notice period?
Candidate: 60 days.
HR: Is it negotiable?
Candidate: No.
HR: Sorry, we’re looking for someone who can join within 30 days.
Candidate: May I ask a question?
HR: Sure.
Candidate: What’s the notice period in your company?
HR: 90 days.
Candidate: If someone resigns and requests to leave within 30 days, would you allow it?
HR: No, we require time to find a replacement and ensure proper knowledge transfer.
Candidate: Then why is it fair to expect new hires to join early when existing employees can’t leave early?
The NFL needs to change that rule with the Walker hold
Walker scored with 2:01 but the play got called back
If Walker scored one second later and it got called back, the Seahawks could run a play past the 2-minute warning and then take it all the way down to 1:15
Huge loophole
@Rule3O3 I figure they’d never allow it, but I always thought it’d be a great service to have the games available afterwards with everything cut out except the 20 minutes of actual plays.
I can’t be the only one with this experience:
Before 2002, I followed pro football, and had the classic American default where if my TV was on Sunday, it was an NFL game. Watched all playoff games, etc.
Then I got a DVR, and the magical power to skip commercials. This seemed great news because it meant more of football watching time could go to watching football.
But then a strange thing happened. I realized it wasn’t just the ads which needed skipping. There was also a ton of annoying downtime in the game itself.
Things moved rapidly from there. By the end of the season I was mostly just fast forwarding until I saw a score change, then going back to watch the drive.
Now I’m just watching highlight reels, or rather I’m editing them. Which sucked, so next I switched to just watching the pro cuts on Sportscenter.
The following September when regular season play started I went to check ESPN one Sunday night and thought “why the hell do I care about highlights from a game I don’t even watch?”
And that was it. That’s how I became a guy who used to watch football. The trip from “I don’t have to watch all of this” to “I’m not gonna watch any of this” took one year.
@Chiefstalk_ Feels like a missed opportunity in hindsight sight tho. The chefs easily coulda won this game had they been more disciplined in the early half of the season. After seeing drake in these playoffs, he’s good but mahomes walks him down
Chiefs hate watch was a masterclass:
✅ Chargers eliminated
✅ Eagles eliminated
✅ Bills eliminated
✅ Broncos lost in the AFCCG
✅ Patriots lost in the Super Bowl
@KeltheCreator@FroemelAndy@NFL@TomPelissero Meaning what exactly? Jason retired after a super disappointing eagles season that went from 10-1 to a 11-7 finish and a wild card loss
@FroemelAndy@NFL@TomPelissero With bienemy coming back. I don’t think Travis will be retiring THIS year. I think he wants to go out like his brother did.
@real1mammajamma@InHarmsWay19 Andy is obviously open to new ideas from inside the building. He's on record saying he'll look at plays players bring him. The problem has been that there haven't been people with fresh ideas in the building. These hires help with that, and we just have to wait to see how much
@InHarmsWay19 A fresh voice being involved in gameplanning would be great but until they announce O'Shea's job I'm not going to assume it'll happen. Hard to give the benefit of the doubt that Andy's open to new ideas when his OC process was just to lock onto EB.
Andy Reid is telling us that he understands what happened this past season and even with bringing back EB, who will help inject new ideas to the offense and run game, he’s making real changes to the people around him on the offensive side. Maybe not how I envisioned it, but there’s real change coming.
@StarcadeMediaKC@TheFan965 The third and long defense was this team's Achilles heel. And it was almost entirely due to a lack of pass rush. That is 1000% the biggest need this off-season.
@cjkc_life09@kent_swanson Except he has sat before when the game didn’t matter. Agree with everything you said except the face the he would play in the game regardless. He’s done.
@LanceTHESPOKEN That can be structured however they want. Prolly something like $1.2MM salary and 2-5yrs dummy years and $13MM bonus prorated across the dummy years…. They can get VERY creative. Mainly an accounting challenge.
I strongly believe that Travis Kelce will retire after the 2025 season.
But IF he wanted to return, the Chiefs would have to give him a new contract given that he’s set to be a free agent.
And I know, a lot of folks think/assume he would take a “team friendly” deal. But that’s just not realistic.
Yes, Kelce will be 37 in October. But not only is he and would still be a top 5 TE in the league, he is arguably the most marketable player the league has. So from just a marketability standpoint alone, he would demand $12-$15 million on the low end. And where the Chiefs are with their cap structure, it just doesn’t make sense for them moving forward.
