@LargeFamDad @AdamLaneSmith Well it’s still possible but people choose not too. They choose luxury items and vacations over sacrifice. Let’s be honest this experiment isn’t very old. Plenty of time to change course.

@AdamLaneSmith That's because if society took this seriously and we were actually FOR human health and flourishing, we would have to restructure society so that mothers could stay home with their children to at least age 5. Instead, the prevailing powers that be want women to work.

Daycare has been shown to harm attachments, especially for babies. Their mental health outcomes later in life are impacted. Saying this out loud can get you fired.

@brittilina bleeding, your breasts are leaking everywhere, some women have stitches and all sorts of internal tears. It’s absurd. Our bodies just went through hell, and it’s completely counterintuitive to what an OB recommends.

@brittilina How about pediatricians do home visits like they use to for at least the first 6-8 weeks. Why? We as moms need to rest! We shouldnt be carrying anything but our babies. We all know getting an infant to the drs office is an ordeal. Add other children and it’s a nightmare. Your

@AConcernedPare2 “Advanced” doesn’t even mean anything here in MA. It’s literally just more homework and assignments. What’s the point of an advanced class if the poor kids are just forced to do double the regular school assignments? It’s a joke.

@audreystayshome I don’t like cosleeping either bc I need my space! How can anyone get a good nights sleep with feet in your back?! People do that for years bc they feel guilty for making the kids sleep alone. I see zero benefit to everyone sleeping like The Croods. 😆

@revenant_MMXX almost daily, cleaning daily, laundry is jsit aboit daily with 7 of us in the house, and homeschooling in between chaos. Sitting down and resting isn’t much of an option these days. Not living easy mode at all right now. So let’s not judge and assume we all have our feet up.

@revenant_MMXX Sure, if you have normal children lol. I am over here trying to keep an 11 mos old alive daily who thinks he can climb, and an autistic 7 year old who also loves to climb anything and everything, chew on nonedible foods, and is a literal Houdini at locks. On top of that I cook

Stay-at-home moms easily have more free time than anyone who works a full-time job and it's not even close. Kids play independently, they nap, they aren't nearly as much work as Big Mom pretends they are.
Happy A Heathen@LucyferLoo

@revenant_MMXX No. Men should raise their own children. Make them quit their jobs, give up their hobbies and ambitions. They are parents too, right?

@alt1na1 This literally never goes away. The intrusive thoughts are definitely worse when they’re younger, but then you have an 18 y/o and you have a whole new set of intrusive thoughts 😭

@AlpacaAurelius if the company is around anymore. Old Navy use to be almost ALL cotton 😡 now all their freakin shirts are polyester. Disgusting! Walmart also use to sell all cotton 😡. Cotton is definitely a luxury now.

@AlpacaAurelius It’s a freaking PITA. I only wear cotton with the exception of some modal or rayon PJs. I’ve found 100% cotton leggings at Kohls (Sonoma), and I have a bunch of either Amazon essentials or Hanes 100% cotton tshirts. NY&Co use to sell cotton leggings, tops but I don’t even know

@HormoneHangover @emilykmay It really does lol. I got a solid amount of time sleeping for 8-9 hours before having baby #5. It’s amazing. He’s 11 mos old now, and between him and pregnancy it’s over a year 1.5 of broken sleep. I’m a zombie 99.9% of the time.

something I learned from parenting is that I don't need a lot of sleep as much as i need a chunk of uninterrupted sleep. if I can get a 4-5 hour chunk, that is my functioning threshold.

@emilykmay It’s true. The waking every 1, 2 or 3 hours is beyond brutal. Last night was one of those really bad nights. 11 mos old was once again up at 11, 3:30, 6 so I got no chunk of sleep and man am I feeling it today 🫩. Just absolutely dragging…

My super strong parenting opinion is that while the kids are awake, you come last. No spending all of Saturday golfing. That’s family time. 6 am tee time only, maybe. Wanna go to the gym? Go after the kids go to bed, or wake up at 5. In a few short years, they’ll be out of the house and you’ll have all the time in the world for your own stuff. It’s okay to come last for a while.

@littleapostate way to the far end of our parking lot. My husband has to drop me off and pick me up every week. Then eventually he did the shopping bc even the 45 minutes in the store became too much.

@littleapostate It was brutal this time around with my 5th. Never experienced Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction until this one. Holy hell. If you’ve never had it then you don’t realize the pain one is in when doing something as benign as grocery shopping. No way I would have been able to walk all the

I’ve happily kept up my habit of parking at the far end of the lot when I go grocery shopping but at almost 39 weeks I’m getting tired af of there being no spots for pregnant ladies Also moms with small children should not be walking the entire parking lot. That’s some bullshit

@DrMarkStano @end3of6days9 @coffee_anytime found out his speech wouldn’t improve. It’s that bad, and affects his self confidence. My oldest had just crowded teeth, simply braces, was it necessary? No, but I also have a thing about teeth since I had braces myself. To me they’re well worth the investment.

@DrMarkStano @end3of6days9 @coffee_anytime Well he has apraxia of speech and his palate is extremely narrow which affects tongue placement. I am sure that also lead to some severe teeth deformities. His SLP believes some of his speech would be corrected by corrective braces. Either way he’s getting braces even if I

This mom gets the estimate for her teenage son's braces and her reaction is pure, relatable shock. She sits there staring at the paper: over $6,000 for full top-and-bottom braces. "What? Like who can afford over $6,000 for braces?" she says, voice cracking with disbelief. Her son needs them for an overbite and just one or two crooked teeth—"his teeth aren't even that crooked"—but it's still full treatment. She thought maybe it was $1,900 or something (perhaps a down payment), but nope, the numbers are real. He's got two insurances (one through mom, one through dad), yet the estimate only factors in dad's. She hopes hers kicks in more, especially since her daughter only needed top braces before. But even so, she's floored: "Oh my god, this can't be real. This can't be real. Parents, is this real?" This is the everyday reality hitting so many families right now. A basic need like fixing your kid's teeth turns into a massive financial gut punch—thousands out of pocket, even with insurance, while you're already dealing with life’s other curveballs. Kids shouldn't have to go without straight teeth and confidence because orthodontics costs more than a used car. Parents shouldn't have to choose between braces and bills. Who's been hit with a braces quote that made you do a double-take? Or is this just what we Americans have to deal with in 2026?

@BowtiedQueenBee Is this a joke post? It’s just long division something we were all taught in the 90s. The R is the remainder. To check your work you simple multiply 7x21=147+2=149. Easy peasy.

My coworker sent me this picture of her daughter’s homework with this text- This type of long division makes no sense So they’re teaching some weird, new type of math that she can’t help her daughter with. I told her I’d help her homeschool. She might do it 😂
