@milne25 @Danjsalt Indeed. Hence the “mostly” part of the comment. Restrictions on handguns only really apply to overall length and ammunition. To get a license requires extremely invasive checks and expensive gun cabinets. Location requirements and other things like it being bolted down as well.

@Self_Gambit @Danjsalt Guns aren't banned in the UK. Handguns for citizens are illegal. But any citizen who applies for a license can own a shit gun or a rifle. Just most folk choose not to. Gun laws changed 1997 due to a mass school shooting in 1995 in Scotland, that law banned handguns only.
