I am told yesterday in mini-plenary debates of Parliament, the ANC and DA opposed the scrapping of professional fees which are paid to professional bodies, for those who are unemployed. This means ultimately in Parliament they will vote against this EFF proposal. The ANC despises the people it leads, and is simply joined by the DA in that now.

[Thread] Thabo Mbeki wrote a letter to the ANC on March 2023, slamming them for using their Parliamentary majority to block investigations into Cyril Ramaphosa and Phala Phala Farm. He even said it is no different from the Nkandla Matter. Mbeki went further and condemned the ANC for using its Parliamentary majority to vote against a motion to investigate corruption at Eskom. They used this majority alongside the DA a couple of years ago to vote against motions to investigate extortion rings in Eastern Cape, Western Cape and KZN. They used this majority to vote against an inquiry into pension fraud by security companies and municipalities. What they did on Phala Phala is in their blood, they hate accountability. The shameless ANC today wants to pretend that Parliament as a collective was responsible for their undermining of the Constitution. We saw them vote to undermine the Constitution in defence of Cyril Ramaphosa, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma stood alone. The ANC is a shameless organization which must be judged harshly by history!
