The Honourable Thomas Edward Siddon was the Member of Parliament for the riding of Burnaby – Richmond – Delta from 1978 to 1979, Richmond – South Delta from 1979 to 1988, and Richmond from 1988 to 1993. He served as Minister of Fisheries and Oceans from 1985 to 1990, Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development from 1990 to 1993, and Minister of National Defence in 1993. As Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, he notably helped conclude the agreement to create the territory of Nunavut. Prior to serving in the House of Commons, he served as an alderman in Richmond Township and as a professor of engineering at the University of British Columbia. #SenCA
