Anything Donald Trump says tonight is because of this.  Not because he cares about the troops. Not because he cares about your rising costs.  It’s all about his numbers and himself. Like everything else he does.

Birthright citizenship is part of our Constitution, and the president knows that. Overturning it would undermine our foundational values as a nation.

The Constitution is clear: children born in the United States are citizens. It is critical that the Supreme Court upholds the Constitution and puts an end to Donald Trump’s attempt to revoke citizenship from children born in the United States.

If he’s trying to intimidate the justices he appointed (and who MAGA world expects to follow Trump’s orders with a vitriolic, fringy fervor), it’s a recklessly dangerous tactic.

Why does the President want to disenfranchise millions of Americans?   Why is he so afraid that people will make their voices heard?   It's because he is losing.

The Fourteenth Amendment is clear: if you’re born in the United States, you’re an American citizen. The Court must swiftly rule against this Administration's shameless effort to subvert the Constitution and advance Stephen Miller's racist agenda.

Congress made its argument to the Supreme Court. Birthright citizenship is the law of the land. SCOTUS must rule accordingly.

Birthright citizenship is the law of the land. Donald Trump can’t just wish it away. And the Supreme Court can’t enable him to do it—even when he shows up at the arguments in an attempted show of intimidation.

You would never know this is a President embroiled in a war of choice, overseeing a plummeting economy and sky rocketing costs, and seeing court defeats across the country for his unlawful policies that hurt Americans. Instead he is the first president to attend a Supreme Court hearing in an act of intimidation. All to try to end birthright citizenship which is a bedrock right in the constitution.

Birthright citizenship is the law of the land. A president showing up in the courtroom to intimidate judges and persuade them otherwise is just disgraceful.

Trump can’t rewrite the Constitution. The birthright citizenship executive order is blatantly unconstitutional. I expect the Supreme Court to make that decision and invalidate it.
