The need for action has never been clearer. On Tuesday Survivors of forced and coerced spoke to the House of Commons committee studying Bill S-228 and called for it to be passed ASAP.
They were joined by doctors and academics who supported their calls.

Today was a historic day, Bill S-228 was debated and passed 2nd reading in the House of Commons. Thank you to everyone who made this possible through years of work.
The bill will now be studied at committee before 3rd reading and being passed into law.

Last night, the Senate passed a motion recognizing May 10 as Bear Witness Day, honouring Jordan River Anderson and raising awareness of Jordan’s Principle.
