Today we hosted our first, Farm to Table cooking class in partnership with the Fayette County Extension office and FStop farms! Our athletes were able to go to the garden for a quick nutrition lesson about where real food comes from and the importance it plays in nourishing our bodies. Quality food allows us to feel good and perform at a high level! Once harvesting their produce, we got into the kitchen where athletes were able to bread their own home made chicken nuggets and place them on their baking sheets! Once the chicken was baking, athletes were able to chop their vegetables to make a delicious and fresh tomato, cucumber, broccoli and cabbage salad! Thank you to everyone who made this possible from an event stand point, and thank you to all the athletes who helped prepare my lunch! Today was a great day! #SpecialOlympics #InclusiveHealth #QualityNutrition

Saddened by the passing of such a sweet lady and close friend, Judy Taylor. Ever since I arrived in Frankfort, she has been such a wealth of knowledge and always brought homemade cookies to my office. Rest in peace.
