BREAKING: Indiana Judge Christina Klineman has issued a ruling claiming there is a religious right to kill babies in abortions. Klineman issued a permanent injunction blocking Indiana's abortion ban based on the outrageous claim. The judge blocked the ban for a certified class of people who claim killing a baby in an abortion is an exercise of their religious beliefs. Klineman ruled that the state’s 2022 abortion law violates Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act by substantially burdening the religious exercise of people who say their religion supports killing babies in abortions. Attorney General Todd Rokita will appeal the ruling to a state appeals court.

For people who get all worked over vigilante concerns it important to understand, the legal system is designed to replace our direct right to justice.
We hand over a natural right to deliver justice to the state in order to ensure a fair trial and appropriate punishment.
We should give that system broad latitude in arriving at an approximation of justice.
But as with every surrendered right, when the state proves incapable, or unwilling, the right of delivering justice devolves to the natural right.
A system that protects criminals guarantees vigilante justice.
That's not a good outcome, but it's a definite outcome.

That's why when we learnt people were using AI tool Grok to make vile images, we moved quickly to get it stopped.
Today, we are going further. We are putting social media companies on notice to take down any non-consensual intimate images within 48 hours.
I know there’s more to do. Violence against women and girls has no place in our society. We must root it out.

I supported nuking the filibuster months ago and received a fair amount of criticism. I'm pessimistic that the talking filibuster is going to happen. @LeaderThune is running out the clock by claiming there is "much work to do." The longer we wait, the less chance we have of getting the Save America Act passed.
Thune is worried that a talking filibuster will tie up the floor and prevent other important legislation. But I have news for him: if we don't pass the Save Act, you won't get anything done anyway.
It's called "Save America" for a reason. We might not have the votes, but it's time to find out who is with us! The Democrats will nuke the filibuster as soon as they want to pass something. Both parties have used it for limited legislation. Time to be realistic.
If Democrats take control after the mid-terms, we will spend the next 2 years listening to impeachment proceedings.

Hollywood is finished.
On its face perhaps a good thing.

If Republicans ram through the SAVE Act and turn voter registration into a scavenger hunt for birth certificates, passports, and affidavits, fine. Own it. Put your name on every grandma and nursing aide you knock off the rolls.
But in a few years, when Democrats have the votes and decide that buying a gun requires universal background checks, photo ID, and a waiting period, spare us the constitutional fainting couch and “tyranny” monologues.
You cannot preach that paperwork is a sacred safeguard for one constitutional right and an unforgivable infringement on another. Rights come with reasonable rules for everyone, or they are just partisan props. Pick a lane and stay in it.
