@tberzin We used timed release text message navigation tailored to Miralax/Gatorade or split PEG which both improved show rates, and improved bowel prep adequacy for screening/surveillance exams. journals.lww.com/jcge/abstract/…

Anyone have A+ tips for improving bowel prep adequacy rate in your GI practice? I have to give a talk which touches on this, and would love to hear what has/hasn't worked in real-life. Nurse navigator for preps? Apps/texts reminders? What else?

The reality is that most centers do not have specialized bleeding teams, and several RCTs have shown that urgent scopes (<24hrs) have not improved outcomes such as rebleeding compared to non-urgent eval (although no doubt LOS is improved)
