@revenant_MMXX GameCube also has easy and cheap drop-in solutions for playing games from SD cards. So you can bypass the expensive 2nd hand market if you're just trying to play games on original hardware and not collect them.

Gamecube had an incredible library of exclusives and if thrifting one isn't an option, Gamecube & Wii emulation are about as close to perfect as emulation can get. Every game is playable, a few have very minor issues. Same with PS2 and, increasingly, orig Xbox as well

@jaratrozky0 @revenant_MMXX That and it was the last console gen where constant online updates wasn't a common thing. So pushing day one patches or unfinished games with the promise of fixes wasn't much of a thing. Games were either good on the disc and only needed minor revisons or were avoided.

Stunners are projectile weapons that are stated to pass through personal shields based on relative movment of the shield user. Not exactly a "bore", but the entire purpose is to either force the shielded person to advance towards to shooter to block or stun a shielded person who is retreating.

@HMBohemond You missed a couple points: First, both the Lazgun AND the shield can each detonate nuclearly. Second, no projectile weapons bore through shields. That's Villenoodle horseshit. Third, shields drive worms crazy. So shields practically can't be used on the ground of Dune.
