If the #NBA is waiting for a 42-year old to decide his next move, that should tell you all you need to know about his game. 🏀

@JakeLiscow Why is this even a frickin’ issue? Should be a slam dunk for @Bengals front office. Honor deserving legends while you still can. #Bengals front office being goofy again.

This doesn't have to be complicated either! Get the guys in who deserve it, then it doesn't need to be an every year event if there's no one deemed deserving that year. Plenty of teams have 50+ guys in their Ring Of Honor. I get balancing the honor and moment and everything tho
Willie Anderson@BigWillie7179

Congratulations to these 2 legends who gave their all to @Bengals. I still wanna use this time to say to our Bengals owners “ Please reconsider next year’s plan of only putting 1 player per year in the Ring of honor! So many men are deserving and we want them to be here to receive this great honor you have created for former guys! Let’s start a petition to the organization! Send this message to ownership please if you know them! They’re doing a great job with this but we need more than 1. #Whodey

According to sources, Burke Magnus, the head of ESPN content, leaked the Ryan Clark firing to Outkick (A MAGA sports site) before telling Ryan Clark during a live show yesterday. The goal was to humiliate Ryan Clark to the MAGA fanbase. Burke Magnus hired Peter Schrager too.

Kudos to #Bengals fans who turned down the temptation to vote in wildly popular players from the more modern era to assure as many legends get thier due as possible before it is too late. Hopefully this will be the last posthumous induction.

When it comes to the Basketball GOAT debate, I'm a Jordan guy. But nothing has made me more sympathetic to LeBron than people's irrational hatred of him. I saw a clip of Olden Polynice talking shit. Man, if you don't sit your goofy ass down somewhere.

@PatrickJnmarie @NikkiBarnes @YourAverageJoeP The key is to stop listening to critics who don’t mean us any good. I know what my enemy thinks of me; I need invest no more time on that. We have always been a pragmatic electorate. Gotta continue so.

@NikkiBarnes @YourAverageJoeP All of this just so we can continue the “twitter wars” fighting against those who will still blame black voters when the real issue was and WILL ALWAYS BE apathetic white voters. The word accountability is not and won’t be a part of their vocabulary.

Can we have an honest conversation? Can we tell some honest truths? Of the Black voters who turn out in Texas, James Talarico will likely win north of 80% of them. Probably closer to 84% when you combine Black men and Black women. So let’s be clear: the problem is not necessarily his percentage of the Black vote. The problem is volume. James Talarico is not going to win a majority of white voters in Texas. His campaign entered this race selling the idea that his theology and religious background could help him convert disgruntled MAGA voters. That was always a questionable theory, and I have seen nothing to suggest there is some massive population of Republican voters waiting to cross over and elect a Democrat to the United States Senate. Then there is the Latino vote. Latino voters may have overperformed for him in the Democratic primary, but that does not mean they will overperform for him at the same level in a general election. So do the math. If Talarico gets north of 80% of Black voters, somewhere around 53% to 55% of Latino voters, and loses white voters overall, where does the additional margin come from? Volume. He needs more Black voters in the electorate. Not simply a high percentage of the Black people who were already going to vote. He needs Black voters who typically do not participate in midterm elections to actually show up. That is what some of us have been saying from the beginning. And that is why I find it interesting that so many people are suddenly tagging Jasmine Crockett and expecting her to jump in and mobilize Black voters. What happened to the strategy of winning over disgruntled MAGA voters? What happened to the coalition we were told could win Texas without centering the expansion of Black turnout? Now some of y’all want Jasmine to become the Negro wrangler because you finally understand what she brought to the equation: volume. That is the frustration. Talarico had a two-month head start before Republicans even settled on their nominee. That was precious runway that could have been used to build an intentional operation around expanding the Black electorate, not simply securing a respectable percentage of the Black voters who were already going to show up. Now the runway is getting shorter. And this is why some of y’all need to start listening to Black people when we talk about candidates, coalitions, turnout, and who needs to be at the dance when the ballots are counted. We have been navigating American politics for centuries because our survival has depended on understanding exactly how power works in this country. We understand the difference between winning a demographic and expanding an electorate. Those are not the same thing. And if you need Jasmine Crockett now because you suddenly realize you need more Black voters in the electorate, then perhaps the people who told you that from the beginning knew what the hell they were talking about.

Rep. Kweisi Mfume, D-Md., said Black Americans are “outraged at what is happening now with these efforts to do away with the African American museum and all of the Smithsonian,” during a House Oversight subcommittee hearing Tuesday. “If you erase it, we will replace it,” Mfume said. “It’s that damn simple.” In his comments, Mfume quoted former President Abraham Lincoln and said “history taught us and still teaches us that we can't keep making the same mistakes.” Mfume said he sat at the hearing “as a Black man who grew up in segregation, who wasn't allowed to go certain places, who drank from a water fountain that said colored, who found his mother and his father unable to do anything other than basic day work.” “We will not let you destroy that museum. No matter how long it takes, how many battles are required, how much effort is needed, we will not allow that to happen,” Mfume said. “Unless you find a way to kill all of us and walk over our bodies to change history.” The hearing focused on the way the Smithsonian Institution presents scholarship on U.S. history. In announcing the hearing, the Republican-led committee claimed that the “Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History is promoting a narrow, politically tendentious agenda instead of seeking to instill in visitors an appreciation for America’s unique history as a beacon of liberty, democracy, and opportunity.” In President Donald Trump’s second term, his administration has sought to clamp down on how American history is framed in public spaces, removing exhibits from national parks on slavery and violence against Native Americans.
