Peak Seattle
Peak Seattle@PeakSeattle·
And so it begins. After it's much celebrated opening this past weekend, the brand spankin' new Mercer Island light rail station has already had it's first OD. If you're wondering, the junkie survived after being revived with Narcan. And the funny thing is, urbanists and transit nerds mocked the kind of people featured in this Daily Mail article (which I actually found kind of funny) as NIMBYs and pearl clutchers. But it looks like their fears are already starting to be realized. No one should be surprised at this point. Word has it that transit police ask people to show their tickets, but not the vagrants. It's not clear whether that's due to them being directed to leave them alone, not wanting to do their job, or to so-called "equity" concerns. And a friend of mine told me yesterday that he was at Bellevue Square, and he saw a vagrant on every street corner there. Four different vagrants flying signs. He's never seen that there before. Get ready, Eastside. If you think that shitshow at the Plymouth Housing facility near Bellevue College was gonna be the last of it, guess again. Seattle is coming to your doorstep, whether you want it or not. tinyurl.com/jwajwkx6

@NiohBerg You would have preferred that she blew her brains out or OD'd? She was an adult who made a sad, but voluntary decision. Suicide does not go away because you remove a dignified process. Had she done it, alone, none of the counseling and waiting periods would have been offered.

It just got worse. The lawyer for Noelia Castillo Ramos' father has allegedly stated: "Noelia requested a 6-month postponement of her euthanasia to take the time to think, which was denied to her." Straight up execution.

@CBSNews Gee, how did I know race and gender would be injected into this story? Without it, I would have admired all of them just for their experience, but now I find myself questioning their primary qualifications. Except for the white guys.

Yes your husband had a good experience which means that the rest of us who had bad experiences must be lying. The logic is impeccable. Also, yes, you're right. I only just now started complaining about bad service, dogs, and air travel. I was famously so positive and optimistic about those subjects up until now. These are great points you're making.
Raven Grace 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸@RavenGrace0613

He’s lying. My husband takes numerous flights a week. He says the lines have been fine since ICE came in. And he’s had one flight delayed in 2 weeks. But more than that Matt is angry now. He has changed. He’s complaining about dogs, people, the airport, the service, and the way people dress…… What has changed him? He wasn’t this way before. Blackmail? Bought out? He’s not the same. He’s angry.

@komonews The WA Supreme Court is packed with social justice warriors, so the legal hurdle is low. It will take WA hitting rock bottom before Seattle's liberal voters will be willing to vote for conservative candidates whom they have ignorantly labeled as racist, homophobic, nazis, etc...

This video clip is going viral - and it'll infuriate you. It reportedly shows a guy who bought cases of water using food stamps... dumping out the water so he can recycle the bottles for cash. That's your taxpayer money, friends. REPOST this everywhere. #thinblueline #lawenforcement

I see this clip of me has gone viral. When Muhammad Ali arrived in Zaire for the "Rumble in the Jungle" with George Foreman in 1974, a reporter asked him what he thought of Africa. "Thank God my granddaddy got on that boat!", he replied. Slavery was horrific for the enslaved. But the descendants of slaves alive today in the West have a far longer and higher quality of life than they would have if their ancestors had stayed in Africa. The truth is that, of the world's largest black populations, the richest black people in the world are black Americans. The next richest are black people in Canada and the UK. There are no victims of British Empire slavery alive today. Slavery was abolished almost 200 years ago (1834).

You can't even make this stuff up - it would be funny if it wasn't so... well... true. @realsashastone I am an independent who almost always votes Republican. Trump got my vote twice because the alternatives were non-starters. I feel no obligation to join an imaginary MAGA club, blindly support isolationist loons like MTG and Tucker. I would wager most "conservatives" are like me.

MAGA has disembowled itself over one thing: Israel. That's it. They weren't "lied to." They thought the Epstein files would implicate Israel. They think the war is about Israel. That's it. So - all I can say is I hope it was worth it, guys. s
Brandon Straka #WalkAway@BrandonStraka

MAGA has become tribal, hive-minded, at war with itself. I said it plainly at @CPAC- and people felt it. I laid it all out—about Tucker, Mark Levin, Marjorie Taylor Greene—and how insane the mob mentality on the right has become. People are tired of being lied to at political conferences. Tired of the spin. Tired of being told everything is “great” when it’s not. They want honesty. They’re hungry for truth. And if we can’t confront our differences openly—without personal attacks and character assassinations—we won’t survive this moment. Watch my full remarks from CPAC. This was one of the most important speeches I’ve given in years.

@AnnCoulter It would seem like we are pro war from the viewpoint of an isolationist. Your foolish philosophy pretends that real threats do not exist. It’s dangerous and it invites more aggression. The global equivalent of “defund the police “. Some battles are worth fighting.

Does the pro Iran war crowd have an argument other than, "YOU'RE AS CRAZY AS TUCKER!"? This is getting to be the persuasion-by-threat I wrote about this week re: voter fraud, masking, climate change, etc etc. You might intimidate people out of saying what they believe, but you don't change any minds.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

Yes I’m “gravitating” in a certain direction by being skeptical of US interventionism as I have been loudly and publicly for as long as I’ve had a platform. This is a new development. This general point of view I’ve had for the past 15 years is an ominous sign. Yes good point David. You’re an astute observer.
