Unfortunately this is kindof the nature of the beast 🥲 BUT it isn't a negative reflection of you at all! An example: Ishowspeed, who has 4 MILLION followers doesn't even get HALF of his followers as interactions. To be honest, when posts "pop off" and you get thousands of likes, more than half of them are probably from people who don't even follow you, it's just the algorithm pushing it! Another example is like, when a streamer has 1k+ viewers, chat moves like crazy, but usually, it's only like a couple hundred people chatting, but people don't really think about that often. Followers unfortunately just don't mean that much in general on pretty much every website, but it doesn't mean you aren't doing great and aren't growing!! I think the best way to look at followers, number go up me happy, but don't put too much weight or thought into it, you're doing great. 🫡

75k followers, but majority of my posts are at 2k views and 200 likes. i know it’s frowned upon when creators talk about “woe is me” number stuff, but it’s really been like this for so long, i can’t keep my frustration to myself.

Hey so I’m not gonna flame this person for their opinion but this is just factually incorrect. TikTok, in the short time it’s been around compared to other websites has almost 5x views of most sites EVEN in livestreams. Because of TikTok’s success, pretty much every website has been pushing shorts like crazy. As people’s attention spans get shorter and shorter, shorts are 100% the current meta. Even financially, a 15-25 dollar short can be posted across YouTube, TikTok, Xitter, Instagram, EVERYWHERE. Amazing bang for your buck. Most people consuming media are on their phone, scrolling endlessly, shorts are punchy and quick to grab the attention if done correctly, they can gain you longterm fans which is worth more than any short term view money on a longform that won’t perform as well or be pushed as heavily. Also “short form is built for normies” is just so wrong man. Most VTuber watchers are either gooners, or teens/young adults. Guess what apps most of these people scroll 24/7 :3 TikTok, Instagram reels, YouTube shorts. TLDR: absolutely spam shorts as much you can. 🫡
