We can’t competitively manufacture cars because the market is too small. You need massive volume to drive unit costs down. With ~60M people and 32%+ unemployment, there isn’t enough buyers to justify the investment. The math simply doesn’t work.

Well, North Korea built nukes because it decided survival mattered more than prosperity unlike 🇿🇦, and it proved willing to suffer for it and embraced all the sanctions. Pyongyang’s mandate was clear, if you don’t have nukes, you’re negotiable. If you do, you’re untouchable.
