Did you know the Crazy Frog sound was made by a 17-year-old boy in Sweden who was just trying to imitate the sound of a two-stroke engine with his mouth? His name was Daniel Malmedahl. He recorded it in 1997 as a joke, uploaded it to the internet, and forgot about it. Six years later, a Swedish animator stumbled across the file, spent eight weeks building a character around it, and posted it online. He had no idea who made the sound. The credits just said anonymous. A ringtone company found it, renamed the character Crazy Frog, and made over 400 million dollars. Daniel was 24 and working as a computer components salesman when it peaked.

@garrettkidney @SunofKhorshid Anime bluds will spend their walking days shitting on shorter plot lines that have proper resolutions in favor of watching one battle drag on for 80 episodes

the constant chase towards realism and loss of stylization and sense of identity is one of the worst aspects of modern gaming

@JoanFrancescOl1 I do think it would be related to PIE, specifically Yamnaya The Andronovo groups seemed to carry the traits too Overall the steppe loves high cheekbones 😂

@Sepraf Many northern and eastern Europeans, specially Finns, Sami and Russians but also many Germanic-speakers, have high cheekbones like the ones East Asians have. No idea if it’s an ancestral Proto-Indo-European trait or the result of admixture with eastern Siberian peoples
