My thoughts on Crimson Desert.

@ChrisCovent Absolutely. Way more finely tuned progression and artwork than most GAMES right now. The game loop feels really good, it will do quite well.

Nakwon Space Program.

NAKWON was a very pleasant surprise today. Last of us meets Arc Raiders or something with a lot of cool twists on the extraction genre. Really nice looking art style, an interesting wraparound story and the combat has a clunky charm which makes the pvp a lot of fun. Played a majority of the stream and was constantly progressing through quests and unlocking stuff, a neat skill tree too with cool abilities. No blue screen flash bangs in this one, so that's a plus. It's just a playtest but this one definitely has legs, looks like its up for a couple more days.

I think that Marathon not having some type of secure container removes that sense of failing forward in extraction games. Aside from the questionable art choices(and practices), removing part of the secret recipe is a bold choice. I say this only having played the server slam, there may be some progression to unlock a secure container, or something similar.

Excellent video. I've been talking about this for some time now, but from a slightly different angle in regards to multiplayer pvp. There just aren't enough players for all the games that need them to survive. The players now are so fractured that the smaller traffic title matchmaking dries up and if there's cheating it puts the game on life support 10x as fast.

The extinction of the middle of the market for PC has spread to the successful tier of mid-market developers. This cannot now be reversed and will play out in real time.
