Apollo OS 2.1.1 is in wide release! This is a large bug fix release from beta and OS 2.1 is now available to all devices! Release also includes support for rental hashpower for our Solo Pool service. You can now connect nearly an exahash of hashrate to any Apollo Full Node!

Note, the pool has extensive ddos protection already. This was the largest and longest attack it's ever seen and the first time connectivity was substantially interrupted. Any site, no matter how big can be taken down with a big enough attack even with extensive protection, by the simple nature of how ddos attacks work. Again, I do not believe there was even a motive for the attack, and the pool was just caught in the crossfire whilst a general attack was directed towards the data centre it was housed in.

Some of you may have noticed connectivity issues to solo.ckpool.org of late. For completely unknown reasons it has been having intermittent DDoS attacks and is currently under one again. Mitigations are in place, but connectivity may still be compromised.
