I know RAM is expensive now, but what in the world happened to Raspberry Pi? At this pace, they’ll soon enter the price range of Mac Mini and for what? These prices defeat the purpose of what Raspberry Pi is.

@wtogami @Mandrik Thank you for responding. If their hardware is better/newer than a Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 tiny with 8GB of RAM and an i5 CPU, we remain interested. When we refurbish an M900 to become a full node, we install a new 2TB SSD. Though some are happy with a pruned node and 256GB drive

While it is more likely that people running Core will need to quickly switch over to avoid forking themselves off the network, the inverse is also possible. We will do our best to message the options and risks as best we can, especially as the activation height approaches, but I suspect there will be no shortage of information. We made it extremely easy to switch between Bitcoin implementations on StartOS 0.4.0 without needing to resync or reconfigure anything. It's just a button. And dependents, like LND/CLN are satisfied either way.

Had a guy this morning that made 3 separate orders for the same thing. All got cancelled because he didn't pay the lightning invoice. So I reached out to him to find out if there was a problem with the invoice showing up correctly. I checked my node, and everything appeared to be running correctly.
He replied, " I'm not spending Bitcoin. I want to give you dollars."

@kryptomicus 0.4.0 is production ready, and we recommend updating. All new servers we ship have it installed. You can update by following the official guide. Even once 0.4.0 is available OTA, this guide will apply except for step 1.

The hardware of a full or pruned node also doesn't matter to a miner. Node hardware does mater if you point 100 miners to one.

The miner only does PoW (step 3). The building of the block and the accepting of the PoW are done outside of the miner.
