Most people who shit on ChatGPT miss the point. The story is not about ChatGPT taking programmers' jobs. It's not about a missing import here or a mistake there. The story is how, overnight, Copilot + ChatGPT gave programmers a 10x boost.

@danshipper I work in a very regulated industry using ML already and I have a focus in regulation security. You'd be surprised at how much companies are already using ML/DL and just waiting for the drafted or any new regulation/standards to come out and then they'll just remediate to comply.

I honestly think this is a big reason why people are way overestimating the speed of AI adoption. No one in any regulated industry is going to be able to use any of this stuff until it can be on-prem or HIPAA/SOC certified.
