Singapore can be a pro-tech country & still be critical of tech’s issues. You don’t let cars on the road w/o upholding the law. Set an example to ignore it once, & you’re on the path of eroding your entire population’s respect for law and order. SG should proceed very cautiously.

I find Singapore’s support for mass adoption of gen AI to be highly concerning. There’s a difference between learning about tools to be informed, vs using them when safety, standards, & regulations have yet to be put in place to sort out the issues around new technologies. 1/

@jpalmiotti This tracks for me as SDCC because I was there and this is exactly how I remember you guys. I won’t tell you how old I was. But I think my age has some how caught up. ;)

Observations- this is about 30 years ago- the shirt is gone, but the thing around my neck is still here. Much more hair. No longer wear watches. Booth behind us appeared in Chasing Amy movie then was gifted to Billy Tucci. I think I still have the ASH button joe and I are wearing. I want to bet this was SDCC since Jackie Estrada took the photo. Last, I look less tired.

@jpalmiotti I put together a list of “essentials” on an Amazon list the day he took office. The prices have gone up 20 percent. And I get paid in USD. Which has tanked.

Went to the supermarket today and was just taken aback how quickly prices have risen on everything. I will be moving most of my shopping away from @Publix and going to @AldiUSA - since the price comparisons are dollars different. Anyone else seeing this? What a difference a President makes.

I see that a lot of people coming from other countries are cancelling SDCC this year. Two people I know personally cancelled. Foreign countries now issue entry warnings to visitors traveling to the USA. Up until recently, I could never have imagined that.

What’s going on with artists not knowing what a comicbook cover is? Been seeing a lot of crazy pinups and group shots that are not covers. The good ole days of story driven Comic Covers seems to have died out.
