@SethSilvers @AlbanBrooke @MrAsquith @arithisandthat In Infinite Dial 2024, @edisonresearch says 8.3 podcast EPISODES a week. In 2022, it said 7.9 podcast EPISODES a week. In 2021 it said 8 “podcasts” and “5.1 podcast shows” In 2019, it said 7 “podcasts” a week. In 2014, 6 podcasts/week I’m assuming “podcasts” = “episodes”.

Podcast question to @AlbanBrooke, @JamesCridland, @MrAsquith, @arithisandthat, or anyone who has an answer. Any insight or data on if the # of shows people follow/sub is increasing? I'm seeing data that makes me wonder if people are "following" more shows than they used to.

Having an inner circle is so important in life and business. I am thankful for my podcasting inner circle, PodMatch Elite Mastermind! Last month, 8 of us got together at Blue Duck Tavern in DC! (They took great care of us; having our name on the menu was a cool touch!) Each member of this mastermind has become a close friend to me. I’ve learned a lot from them, and every time we’re together, I’m reminded of this quote: “Happiness is only real when shared.” It’s a joy getting to work together in the podcasting space and to be able to support the podcasting industry. So fun! This dinner was a night I won’t forget. :)

@MrAsquith Quick q. What are the most creative examples of non-advertisement use of DAI? I believe you use to do a weekly tech recommendation on your podcast that was dynamically inserted each week across your episodes? Any creative case studies that come to mind?

@MrAsquith That's great. I remember it being one of the more unique use cases I've seen. Any other examples of "non advertisement" use of DAI that come to mind?

@SethSilvers We use it to insert segment stings, segment content, promos for other episodes etc. I also like it for listener content insertion, too.

@SethSilvers I'll bet 10 to 1 odds that it isn't @TransistorFM. @mijustin and John are true bootstrappers, so I don't see them selling. Buzzsprout and Transistor are going to be battling it out till we're all in our 60s.

Any guesses which podcast host is selling? It isn’t Buzzsprout… unless I missed a really big meeting invite.
