@SethTooCraft @Avesvery the lighting and modern Minecraft is not different from pure value, it's how block light and sky light interact. modern adds block light and sky light beta picked the brighter one (all light was only one value)

I've never been on board with "beta is so much better than modern Minecraft" but seeing this side by side really is something. Bring back the shadows!

@Avesvery I'll say I do like the colors and textures in the new one, I don't think that should be reverted. Purely lighting.

@Avesvery Sometimes the differences aren't that much... I think it's important with projects as large as Minecraft, to understand what was good and bad about all versions, and try and get something that scratches that itch. Current commotion is the vibes just aren't the same. +1

Sort of similar, but not in the dream way. I had recovered an account I made as a kid because I had put a backup email that didn't exist. So, I created that email present day and got access. Perhaps this info is useful to somebody.

Ooh, another thing! Break them arms. Here, because of the angle, I was able to "bend" the left arm, even when it can't. What's fun about these simple MC characters is how much you can squeeze out of their limbs. They're already disconnected, take advantage! #minecraft #blender

I don't do animation very often, but I wanted to try and block something out for once. Shits fun, would like to do it more. I have an non mc alien rig I made a bit ago that I want to try and make a short with. I also made a song that it could be animated to.

For this animation, I just edited the face mesh and UVs from the base skin and created hooks for eyes, eyebrows etc, then parented those hooks to my head control. This is my old promo style rig that doesn't have a functional face. You can just do things. Doodle more!

@NuCaloric @mauricio_here What Java did good console edition polished. Both were so vibey and beautiful. It sucks, because everyone has their own opinions on a game so many people love, so it's hard to say anyone's wrong. The new look of the game is good, but it's not the same.

@mauricio_here Yeah I mean the thing about nostalgia is that it wears off quick. If there wasn't any actual value in the old game's direction I don't think so many people would be playing beta, BTA, etc

We need to nuke Microsoft for making Minecraft a uwu wholesome cozy game with color-blended textures and celeste ost because this vibe is so immaculate. How do you abandon it on purpose
