My last semester results came out yesterday. Not what I hoped for, but ALHAMDULILAH 5 A’s & 2 B’s and my CGPA moved from 4.49 to 4.51. I still have one more semester to push it even higher. I’m just putting this out here to keep track of my academic journey, & coz I’m serious about my goal of studying abroad scholarships one day🙏❤️

@Tolumassive My suggestion will be to pick up a book you loved and finished a long time ago buh probably cant remember most details anymore. I was in JSS2 when I first read "Masque" by Patricia Briggs and "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. They helped me find my spark when I lost it.

@jonfagbuyi @nla_agba Exactly. They also have little to no avenue to practice the language outside class. The link in my first comment was to understand how China moved from having little knowledge of western sciences to being a powerhouse, while teaching it all in Chinese.

@Setsoul01 @nla_agba Because that's not their first language. It takes you to translate your second language to your first language before grasping the concept most times you are unable to make meaningful what was said meaning you never understand that concept

The Yorubas need to learn and adapt the Igbo’s Nwa Boy Apprenticeship Model. Yoruba Apprenticeship (Omo Ise) is not well organized and structured as the Igbo Apprenticeship (Nwa boys). For the Yorubas the Omo Ise pays to learn the trade, sponsors his/her graduation (Freedom) after 3-5yrs, then left with little or nothing to start up. For the Igbo the Nwa Boy knows on graduation after 4-6yrs, the settlement from his boss (Oga) is enough capital to start. They produce young millionaires outside school system faster in Nigeria.

@nla_agba I taught in a local primary school before I gained admission and I noticed a lot of students find it difficult to comprehend concepts in english -- I guess because since their parents don't speak the language -- buh immediately understand when I interpret the concept to yoruba.

I know we shouldn't dwell on "could've-beens". However, Colonization was extremely terrible buh this guy could've been worse. Tho I also agree the fight against colonization was successful cause he already weaken the European powers.

He shook the system to its core and during world 2 deployment, many Africans for the first time, saw the world and their colonial masters for what they were. When they returned home, their minds were made up. The pinkies gotta leave now!!! The devastating effect of the war and the reconstruction process weakened the colonial powers and provided the exit for African nations. I guess we can say: Thank You Hitler.
