Life and time has taught me to never say never.
I have never imagined I can put more than half a million to buy phone.
I said time because, there was a time when Dubai visa was just 500k I don’t even have 50k to myself,
Now I have 700k but to enter UK is now 30m
Where will I see that ?

This happened to me before Ramadan, and the lady told me she liked me but said, "No, we cannot date," and I just stayed quiet. When Ramadan started, one of my Christian bosses sent me N100k as a gift for Ramadan. I posted it on my WhatsApp status to respond to those criticizing Christians, blah blah. After a few minutes, I received a message from her telling me she had a problem and needed help. I asked what it was, and she said she wanted to use some of the money to pay her bills. I declined and asked for the accounts of 10 people, then I gave out the N100k without giving her a kobo because I had enough with me.

When I was deployed for Operation Lafiya Dole in 2015, I was issued the new desert camouflage in December of that year. I left Maiduguri in May 2016 and we were asked to submit the uniforms back. I shock.

So my mother-in-law just told me something now and my body has been doing me one kain since 😭
She said you can be living with a snake in your room for years and you won’t even know.
She said it happened to her sister, that the snake lived with them for 21 years 😩😩
The most scary part?
She said whenever she wanted to sleep, she would just feel something cold on the bed not knowing say na snake dey lie down with her 😭

I once walked away from a client in the middle of a job.
That building has never been completed till today.
The client was based in the UK. His wife managed things on ground. We agreed on everything and started smoothly.
Then she took over buying materials.
Every time I specified something, she bought the cheaper version. Wrong materials. Wrong quality. Every week.
She knew nothing about construction. But she always wanted to argue.
The husband could feel it from London. He called me regularly.
Thanking me. Quietly begging me to please manage his wife.
I tried.
Then one day she brought her mother to site.
The mother started questioning me immediately. First question was why I arrived late that morning.
I looked around the site slowly.
And terminated the contract.
That building is still unfinished today.

A friend of mine relocated to the uk with his wife few years ago, they both got a job but his wife was earning times three of this earnings, one day while we were chatting on phone he told me about his how wife is earning more than him and doesn’t contribute a dime at home.
I asked him why that he should sit her down and have a discussion with her,he said he already did that and his wife response is that “his money belongs to the running of the house while her money is for her alone”, then he said for the 10yrs they were married in Nigeria she never worked one day and he was the only one working and using his finances. Most times I blame this men who gets into the hands of unkind women,you did not allow her to work in Nigeria ,she had never contributed a dime to the house running minus giving birth to your child and now suddenly in the uk you expect her to start contributing to the house,such woman wouldn’t do such and this has got nothing to do with the uk.
She’s been showing signs for years and he didn’t take notice of that and now he’s complaining.

Yesterday, my regular workers were occupied.
So I need an iron bender, so someone referred a man to me.
We met on site to discuss the job.
We couldn't agree on price.
Back and forth. No middle ground.
Then he paused and said quietly
"It is better to have no work at all than to work for a rich man and still not be able to afford my basic needs."
He picked up his tools and walked off the site.
No argument. No anger.
Just dignity.
I went home that evening thinking about that sentence.
It wasn't rude. It wasn't a threat. It was just calm.
And it carried weight.
The next morning I called him back.
I gave him the job at his price.
