@BolajiADC Both offices are not the same - The NSA focuses on high-level strategy and foreign threats, while Homeland Security focuses on domestic protection and infrastructure. They are both key to national security provided they fulfill the mandate for which they are appointed.

President Tinubu has just appointed a Major General as “Special Adviser on Homeland Security.” The term “homeland” is ideological and historically rooted. It makes sense in contexts like the United States, Germany, Israel, or Palestine. In Nigeria, it is largely meaningless. If the President no longer has confidence in his National Security Adviser, he should simply replace him, not create a new office with a copycat title.

An early morning heavy downpour in Ojo area of Lagos on Friday has caused massive flooding that has sacked traders and paralysed business activities along Lagos Badagry Expressway. Motorists and commuters were not left out in the bad effect of the flood as they spent several hours navigating through the gridlock that has resulted from the flood. Observers blame the flooding which happen any time rain falls on poor drainage system that does not channel water to anywhere. They call on the Ojo local government, with the assistance of the state government, to do something urgently to salvage the situation before it becomes an emergency.

Peter Obi made efforts to register a new party almost immediately after the 2023 elections, but he was denied! INEC refused, for whatever reason reserved to them. It appears many people are oblivious to the desperate machinations of Tinunu’s government to stop Obi from being on the ballot in 2027.

This collaborative approach will significantly complement government efforts and expand access to sanitation facilities across the state. At the same time, we continue to enforce environmental sanitation laws. Individuals caught engaging in open defecation are being arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law. These measures are necessary to protect public health, preserve dignity, and maintain a cleaner environment for all. Access to sanitation is a shared responsibility.
