Because of a bug in polymarket. I lost like $6k.
on frontend, I was being shown my open position but the position was already sold.
Initially when the position was in low 20cents, I had initiated a sell order at 30c but cancelled it when it was 25c and it was succesful.
I did not see any orders in open orders and I could still see my position in open position.
and I was constantly monitoring my position. the values were changing. so it isnt like it was stuck.
And now when it is at 83c, I tried to sell and it was not working.
I refreshed and found that I was no longer in position and that cancelled order of 30c was executed.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened.
I have noticed your sell orders will be executed if position clearly goes your way ( few cents above )
and you'll be stuck with position if it touches the selling price or even a cent higher.
is this a bug or scam?
an unfair advantage to market makers??
eitherway, this isn't expected from multi billion dollar company.
if you are using polymarket, use it for fun but do not trust them with big money.

how the @DriftProtocol evenly socialized losses during 10/10 without adl queue prioritization hacks was part of the inspiration to work on percolator and try to formally prove fairness. it’s really sad to see this happen to a team that’s been iterating hard on the core protocol.
the bitfinex hack is the best historical analog that i can think of. Maybe there is some Hail Mary here where a small core eng team takes the existing protocol and airdrop to everyone that has been impacted and runs with it from the ground up.

I'm proud to have been the first to report about this REAL insider on Polymarket, unlike 99% of the posts on X calling random good traders “insiders.”
Insider trading isn’t allowed, and in cases like this, it can even put lives at risk.
A great example of how social media pressure can get the bad people locked up:
Nothing happened for 7 months after his insider trade, but he was indicted just 1 month after my post got 1M+ views which led to the account being discussed in Israeli media.
After my post, he changed his name from “Ricosuave666” to “Rundeep,” thinking he could hide, and kept buying shares on the 2026 military attack.
In the end, greed always catches up with you.

In January, we exposed a possible IDF insider who made $154K predicting Israeli strikes on Iran in 2025. Today we can reveal that a Tel Aviv Court indictment reveals he’s an Air Force major. According to the filing, the major won $128K on the Israeli strikes on Iran in June 2025, which matches the account we exposed in January. The filing also states that his friend, told him “it’s starting” after a briefing right before the attack.
