This is directly related to the movement to share more data. I am a proponent of data sharing, but it creates risks for research participants that previously did not exist. Nowadays, I routinely have to get IRB approval to study discarded human tissues.

@NateSilver538 I am noticing this, too, in science X. High quality content from objectively accomplished scientists is not amplified.

Sharing some proprietary Silver Bulletin data. Sure we are an unusual newsletter in some ways. But there's basically *no* correlation between "engagement" metrics and paid subscriptions. Over-optimizing for engagement often isn't good for product quality *or* for business.

Collectively, we will cover the genomic and tumor microenvironmental evolution from normal cells to cancer in three different contexts -- Skin, Prostate, and Multiple Myeloma. We will also discuss the HTAN data portal -- a one-stop shop to download all the data

We have a wonderful lineup of speakers. Indu Kohaar, a Program Officer at NCI, will kick things off with an introduction to HTAN followed by scientific talks from myself, Li Ding, and Irene Ghobrial (leaders of three of the 10 HTAN centers)

I am looking forward to attending #AACR26. I will be chairing an educational session describing work done by the Human Tumor Atlas Network (HTAN) on Friday at 3pm.
