Had this been a pro-Palestine supporter with a sign that read “F*CK JUDAISM”, there’d be COBRA meetings, candlelit vigils, and millions of pounds of funding for synagogues.

🚨 FORMER BBC PRODUCER AVOIDS JAIL AFTER DOWNLOADING CHILD ABUSE AND CHILD RÀPE IMAGES ⚠️ DYLAN DAWES, 50 🌍 CARDIFF A former BBC producer has avoided prison after being convicted of downloading child abuse and child rape images. Dylan Dawes, 50, who began his career with the BBC in 2000, had over 6,000 indecent images of children on his devices when they were confiscated by police. Dawes refuted having a sexual interest in children and suggested that someone else might have used the devices, which were occasionally left overnight at the BBC's Cardiff HQ. In April, at Cardiff Crown Court, he was found guilty of three counts of possessing an indecent image of a child, and three counts of making an indecent image of a child, relating to more than 6,000 images discovered on his devices. On Thursday, at Newport Crown Court, Dawes received an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. Judge Egan stated: "You have paid and you will continue to pay a heavy price for what you did. The public humiliation has been, and will continue to be, significant. The ball is now in your court to ensure that you stay out of trouble – I'm confident that you will." Judge Egan said Dawes had tried to point the finger at "anyone and everyone" who had access to the former BBC offices in Llandaff, casting doubt on many of his ex-colleagues. Dawes joined the BBC while residing in London in 2000 and began his role at BBC Wales after relocating to Cardiff in 2001, where he worked as a producer on radio shows and podcasts. The court was told that he was arrested in 2022 after police searched his Cardiff home, discovering indecent images on four devices, including a hard drive, laptop and two iPads. Dawes, who had worked alongside presenters such as Jason Mohammad and Rhod Gilbert, informed the court that he had "fairly regularly" viewed "adult pornography" but refuted any claims of downloading indecent images of children. The court was informed that he had "no idea" how the images were downloaded and denied using the search term "jailbait", suggesting that someone else might have accessed the devices. Harry Baker, prosecuting, stated that the images had been discovered on four of Dawes' devices and it was improbable that this was an "unhappy coincidence". Dawes, from Canton, Cardiff, was suspended from his role at the BBC following his arrest and is no longer employed by the broadcaster.

@JATTSOPRANO316 31% of their goals came from set pieces what do you expect. Take them away and they would at best be mid table. Name another Premier league team that's won in this Ugly manner.

Patrice Evra on PGMOL being Arsenal’s 12th man: “PGMOL should just wear Arsenal shirts at this point because this is beyond corruption, this is a full-time partnership. For 18 months they told everyone it was legal to WWE the goalkeeper during corners, Arsenal scored goals like they were auditioning for Royal Rumble, and suddenly at the most important stage of the season they discover the rulebook again. Amazing coincidence. If they review every Arsenal corner this season with the same energy, they might have to deduct 40 goals. I have seen less pushing and grabbing in UFC title fights. Every set piece is like watching security guards remove fans from the stadium. And now West Ham United, a club fighting for survival, gets sacrificed for the ‘Arsenal title charge storyline’. Tomorrow PGMOL will release another apology statement: ‘Sorry, human error.’ Funny how the errors only benefit one team. Soon Arteta will be naming referees in the starting XI. Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Chris Kavanagh or Michael Oliver holding midfield. Unbelievable.” (Satire)

NHS DESTROYED THE WOMAN WHO CAUGHT ITS DOCTORS STEALING FROM IT Sharmila Chowdhury @sharmilaxx gave 30 years of spotless service to the @NHS. Not one disciplinary mark. Not one complaint. She was the budget holder for radiology at Ealing Hospital NHS Trust, which means she could see exactly where the money was going. What she saw was two consultant radiologists billing the NHS for shifts they were spending at a private hospital down the road. The Trust lost £250,000 of public money through those arrangements. She reported it to her line manager. Her medical director. HR. Counter Fraud. The Department of Health. The Treasury. Number 10. She had a paper trail so airtight that @ITV undercover surveillance later caught the same consultants still absent during paid hours, and caught Miranda Harvie and Akkib Rafique taking direct cash payments from patients for private ultrasounds inside the NHS building, money going straight into their own account. So what did the Trust do with this documented, camera-confirmed, publicly broadcast fraud? They sacked her. On fabricated counter-allegations from a subordinate she had herself reported for breaching patient safety. The man who filed those allegations later sent an email signed off with "0800-F***-YOU-B****." He received a Top Mentor award from the Trust that same year. Sharmila won the Interim Relief Hearing. She won the internal appeal. The judge asked the Trust to reinstate her. The Trust said no and refused to let her return. She was blacklisted. Job offers were withdrawn the moment employers discovered who she was. She settled out of court in 2012 with two years pay, out of which she had to pay £77,500 in legal fees alone. 38 Degrees38 Degrees In July 2013, she was diagnosed with breast and lung cancer. Multiple consultants believe this is a direct result of the sustained stress of her treatment as a whistleblower. The consultants she reported kept their jobs. George Osborne said he could not get involved. Andrew Lansley said he could not get involved. David Cameron said he could not get involved. Every single official body, every single minister, every single department looked at a proven, camera-documented NHS fraud case and decided it was an employment matter. Under Corbyn, Labour lost 380 councillors in the 2017 local elections. There was massive pressure for him to step down with the results presented as a 'disaster' in the media and the right of the party. Starmer just lost 1,406 councillors. Let that sink in.

I’m delighted to appoint @HarrietHarman as my Adviser on Women and Girls. Harriet is a strong advocate for women and girls and I know she will deliver greater opportunity for women in public life. I’m committed to tackling structural misogyny that is a barrier for too many women and girls. I look forward to working with Harriet to drive forward action on this important issue.

A devastating night in Birmingham and across the country. Good public servants, colleagues and friends have lost their seats. This was a verdict on us not them. The PM has rightly said we must do better. It is a privilege to serve the British people and we must live up to it.

As I said earlier, these have been really tough results today - including in Wakefield. As the PM has said, this is now a time for serious, calm-headed reflection, because following these results, we must listen and respond, but do so in a steady, thoughtful and reflective way.

These have been a very difficult set of elections. I’ve felt that in Sunderland. But the answer is not to turn inwards. It’s to take responsibility, come together & face up to the challenges ahead. Keir has won before, he can win again. We need to deliver change, not chaos.

We must respond to the message that voters have sent us and break with the status quo once and for all. We must confront the big challenges the public face with real answers. That is how we will deliver the change that people are desperate for and build a stronger and fairer country. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
