I've been following the US Men's Soccer team for nearly 40 years. Considering the current pool of players from this "golden generation," this is the most disappointing team I've ever seen. What a waste of talent.
Thoughts on Italy failing to qualify:
1) 48 team World Cup was supposed to prevent this. Already too many minnows at this tournament. Even a mediocre Italy would have made it better
2) Toronto is a loser here. Italian community storyline, gone. Significant economic impact. 1/2
Nick Young tells Jaden Ivey: 'You’re done in the NBA!It’s not your dissing of the LGBT community that’s gonna get you blackballed it’s calling out the golden child Steph Curry not being a Christian.
He says your only hope now is Claim you’re gay
@playoffbuck wtf is this???PG went for 6 first rounders…Bane went for 4 first rounders….and we gotta let Gianni’s go for two picks and segun? Fuck outta here
Read what I said again. He’s more skilled. Better shooter and playmaker, absolutely. But those skills aren’t what sets him apart, and they aren’t how he takes over a game. When it’s winning time watch how he plays. He bullies down low, initiates contact, and finishes strong and gets to the line. Athletic and big enough to dunk on you but not an athletic freak like Caleb Wilson. All of that is similar to Hansbrough.
And to be clear, that’s not a knock on him. Hansbrough was an unreal college player. Cams other skills will make him a better pro and higher pick. But Hansbrough couldn’t dominate the NBA game like he could in college and neither will Cam. He will have to further develop those skills if he wants to be an All NBA talent.
He’s behind someone like Banchero as a prospect at this point because of that. Bancheros game projected easier to the NBA level than Cams does. Cam’s numbers look better than Bancheros as his usage rate is higher. Cam is asked to do much more on this Duke team than Banchero was. The 2022 squad had more talent than this years team.
Again I’m not knocking Cam, I think he’ll be a solid pro and he had an unreal year. His game is tailor made to dominate college basketball. But he’s gotta develop the rest of his game if he wants to dominate in the NBA. (And he’s good enough to probably do that.)
Bill Simmons questions Cam Boozer’s ceiling in the NBA:
“I watched a lot of Duke over the last 5 weeks. His big go to move is he basically bullies you and does these little spin moves and ends up with the same little jump hook or turn around. His goal is always to get as close to the basket as possible. Which you can do in High school and even do in College. I don’t know if you can do that in the NBA as comfortably”

"Giannis is not coming. He's not coming to New York."
Knicks legend @StarksTheDunk spoke with FOS on whether the two-time MVP will ever leave Milwaukee to join the Knicks.
Doc Rivers on Bucks being eliminated from playoff contention:
"It's been disappointing, obviously. Since I've been here, I haven't had a healthy stretch and it's been your key guys. It's been Giannis. It's been Dame ... This year, having only one quote-unquote star, every other team has two and three. We needed health. We were thin ... All the talk and all that stuff probably didn't help either."
