Millionaires and billionaires are trying to convince you that a bunch of people that make $63,000 a year are the problem with the economy. A bunch of you are just slopping that right up. Boot fully in mouth. Fucking concerning.

Practically everything he found was price-gouging from contractors or outsourcing. The mindbending part of DOGE was that it was going to increase public spending by cutting public staff. Building state capacity saves money.
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani@NYCMayor

Government must deliver for working people—and every dollar in our budget should work as hard as they do. That’s why I directed every agency to cut waste and help close our budget gap. Here’s some of what we found.

I think Zohran's co-opting of efficiency from the right will be seismic for the American socialist project. We need to run a national campaign against The Contractor State—neoliberalism's grand, massively inefficient outsourcing of government functions to private contractors.

@jcool1721 @Johnanderton86 @rhcm123 So you're going to force all of those oil companies to sell to America at a discount? Lol. Being this confident and having no idea how commodities work is certainly a look.

@Johnanderton86 @rhcm123 America is the worlds biggest oil supplier... by far. And that's before we took over Venezuala, the worlds biggest oil deposit.

@CWSTracker Lol bullshit. They've done next to nothing. Schumer and Jeffries are still sleepwalking the party through these disasters. Expect better, this is sad.

BREAKING: Man is upset Democrats don't do the thing they currently are doing.
Dan Carlin@dccommonsense

@CWSTracker Gee...you don't think the out of power party has no power? Maybe look how the GOP used their clout when they were out of power? You have a hundred mini-bully pulpits. You can call in help from unions, you could lead marches, you could call for walkouts, etc etc.

This is cartoonish. A +21°F (+11.7°C) national anomaly over the 1991–2020 baseline is the kind of number you’d expect from a broken model run… not reality. Yet here we are. March 20th and the entire country looks like late May (or worse). Records falling coast to coast, warmth saturating everyregion. But sure—tell me more about how this is “natural variability.” 🤣

@MssCee @davemccr @Bratt_world It really isn't unless you're a citizen of one country or the other and are being paid in the other country's currency. And she just said California North. Equating the prices to a US state.

Gas is about $2.14 cents a litre for most of the greater Vancouver area. Or $8.09 a gallon (CAD) California North 😆

Mark these people who say shit like this. Theo Vonn is from the same group. They try to convince you that Trump and Jews are the problem while saying nothing when the murders that occured during Biden or Obama. Even the "conservative" voices --- in the end they are either communist or jew haters or Islamist.

The amount of long term damage Netanyahu has done to Israel's public image since he came on the scene (all those years ago) is going to take forever to turn around. If that's even possible. He and Trump are so full of hubris they are like watching a Greek tragedy play out.

@Bratt_world Actually, it’s about $4.85 a gallon in USD. $2.14 x 3.78 - 40% exchange assuming you’re paying credit card. So, it’s expensive. But Costco in Bellingham is currently $5.35 USD or $1.98 a Litre Canadian. Which tracks with pricing over the last 4 months.

@dccommonsense @Scottl1971 @EinatWilf No, I would say a social media environment inundated with people who want to destroy Israel and spread all sorts of pro-Hamas propaganda was the disaster. But with 2 billion Muslims, along with their antizionist allies in the west, it was probably unavoidable.
