@MatchsticksCGY 😂
Can you imagine the cacophony of boos that guy would receive at the first time back in Rogers Place dressed in Flames’ livery?

🇺🇸 Farewell and thank you for the warmth of your welcome and the kind support you gave us throughout our first visit to the US as King and Queen, in this, your special anniversary year. We leave a piece of our ❤️ behind and take a little of yours back home with us. Until the next time… God Bless America.

With deep sorrow, we say farewell to one of the final sentinels of the Tuskegee Airmen. George E. Hardy, who once danced across the skies of Europe in his Mustang has taken his final flight at the age of 100. Leaving behind a legacy forged in courage, resilience, and unwavering dignity.
It began in a quiet room in Philadelphia. A 16-year-old boy hunched over his homework as the radio crackled with the news of Pearl Harbor. In that instant, the world fractured, and George’s childhood evaporated. He didn't wait for history to call; he went to meet it.
Denied entry because of the color of his skin, he didn't retreat. He leaned into the wind. He joined the U.S. Army Air Forces, arriving at Tuskegee not just to learn the mechanics of flight, but to dismantle the mechanics of prejudice.
By 19, George was a "Red Tail," a guardian of the clouds. While the world below was segregated, the flak in the European theater was indifferent. He flew 21 combat missions over Nazi-occupied territory, a teenager in a cockpit proving that valor has no pedigree.
Most men would have seen enough of war. George was not most men.
- World War II: 21 combat missions in the P-51 Mustang.
- Korea: 45 combat missions, braving the dawn of the jet age.
- Vietnam: 70 combat missions, a veteran hand guiding a new generation.
For nearly thirty years, he wore the uniform of a country that didn't always love him back, yet he protected it with a devotion that shames the very idea of hate.
When he finally climbed out of the cockpit, he didn't stop serving. As a Lieutenant Colonel, he helped architect the military’s first global communication systems. He spent his sunset years ensuring that those who followed him would never be out of reach, never be truly alone in the dark.
"He rose above the clouds so we could finally see the light."
Today, we don't just salute a pilot. We salute a man who endured the sting of Jim Crow to earn the silver wings of a hero. He was the quiet defiance in the face of "no," the steady hand in the cockpit, and the humble heart in the room.
The "Red Tails" are thinning now, their formation heading into the eternal sunset. But as George E. Hardy crosses the ultimate horizon, he leaves behind a legacy etched not in ink, but in the very air we breathe.
Rest well, Colonel. The watch is ours. The sky is yours.

Yet more coverage today about the CorruptCare scandal. Now we know that a former AHS CEO, a volunteer board member, and the journalists investigating this have been subjected to harassment and surveillance.
Those journalists just won National Newspaper Awards, Canada’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, for their reporting, and Carrie Tait was named Journalist of the Year. Yet the Government House Leader insulted her and compared her to Jabba the Hutt.
They will not call a public inquiry. They harass those asking questions, and they insult journalists. The RCMP has raided the offices of people connected to this, and the government refused to let the Auditor General finish his investigation. His last day is tomorrow.
Why is this government so eager to hide and cover up its incompetence and potential corruption? We are talking about hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars. Call a public inquiry now.

Referenda, by definition, are held to measure public support for certain policies.
So why would the Premier and government take a side and lobby as if they were stakeholders??? Will they register as a third party?
If they already made up their mind, then stop the sham.

Premier Smith says she will be actively persuading the public to vote yes in the UCP's referendum questions. Adds that she expects a broader mandate from voters, but if not, they'll address that at the time.

“It is now abundantly clear to any objective viewer that the premier is doing everything she possibly can to assist the separatists” said Forever Canadian petition organizer Thomas Lukaszuk on Alberta Primetime.
The Premier would “rather push forward this pretense of being confused and she wants to give separatists enough time to collect their signatures so that she can go with the petition she likes as opposed to the petition she doesn’t”.
“For the first time in the history of this province, since 1905 we had a petition that garnered nearly half a million signatures. As an elected official, I would take that seriously.”

Today The King and Queen were joined by other members of the Royal Family at the British Museum to view a scale model of the new national memorial to commemorate the life of Queen Elizabeth II.
Their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses met memorial designer Lord Norman Foster as well as the three artists producing work for the site. The model will remain on public display at the British Museum.
The tribute will overlook The Mall in central London, and is inspired by the 1955 portrait of the Queen at age 28 by Italian artist Pietro Annigon.
