@ShaliniJKA It’s very common, right 😅 boys have the freedom and it’s normalized for them to express it. We on the other hand don’t get that same space.

Anger is a shield for unresolved pain, insult, dejection, failure, hurt. Makes you feel temporarily powerful but often leaves you drained. When we face & address the underlying wounds that we live in denial of, we begin to notice that our usual triggers no longer have an effect on us. On the flip side, when we see someone lash out in anger we need to know that they need compassion, not more anger from us. Retaliation simply continues the vicious cycle. We need not absorb their anger either, that will eat away at us. We need to simply allow it to dissipate into thin air and lose that energy. Trying these things for the past couple of years. And though I slip here and there, I have made so much progress. No more getting triggered for trivial things. Letting go of unnecessary trivialities, frees up so much energy for building the life we truly want.
