I was released from Hamas captivity in January and I am a die hard fan of Maccabi Tel Aviv. I am shocked to my core with this outrageous decision to ban me, my family and my friends from attending an Aston Villa game in the UK. Football is a way of bringing people together irrespective of their faith, colour or religion and this disgusting decision does the exact opposite. Shame on you. I hope you come to your senses and reconsider. I do wonder what exactly has become of British society, this is like putting a big sign on the outside of a stadium saying “No Jews allowed” What has become of the UK where blatant antisemitism has become the norm? What a sad world we are living in.

I welcome the news that Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will not be permitted to watch the match at Aston Villa! Well done to all those that signed our petition!

Former hostage Omer Shem Tov says Hamas was "very scared of" Trump: "They wanted Kamala to be elected." "As soon as Donald Trump was elected, they understood that he wanted to bring us back home," he added. "So immediately, the way they treated me changed"

Let me get it straight. Murdering parents in front of their children, raping women & mutilating their bodies, burning houses w/families inside & kidnapping 100s of civilians by HAMAS on October 7 brought the reward of recognition of “independent Palestine” by multiple countries.

Another great day of work @SenSteveChan. Enjoyed helping homeowners w/their property taxes, pushing @MTA to increase # of B-6 buses on Bay Parkway & expediting a hearing @ Workers Compensation Board for an injured worker. My colleagues & I are making a difference in many lives.

Thanks NYPD for arresting this Hamas-supporting violent protester! Park Slope ignorance will think twice before returning to Crown Heights after tonight.

What happened tonight in Crown Heights was outrageous and deeply disturbing. A group of antisemitic protesters gathered at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue—the very heart of this heavily populated Jewish neighborhood—spewing hateful, inflammatory rhetoric at innocent passersby, myself included. They shouted antisemitic slogans like “We don’t want Zionists here,” and genocidal chants such as “We don’t want two states, we want all of it,” and “Resistance is justified.” How dare you come into my neighborhood—where I’ve lived for over 40 years—and tell me I don’t belong? I absolutely belong here. My family, my neighbors, and my community belong here. To make this even more painful, survivors of the October 7th massacre were in the area tonight. Your hatred and your slogans weren’t directed at a political figure—someone most people in the community didn’t even know was here—but at all Jews: those going to synagogue, shopping in the area, passing by, or simply out for an evening walk. Let’s be clear: this was not about free speech or peaceful demonstration. This was an antisemitic, Hamas-supporting rally. It was meant to intimidate, to provoke, and to spread fear. Your hatred has no place here. Not in Crown Heights. Not anywhere.

Today we remember Ari Halberstam, a 16-year old Yeshiva student who was murdered in a terrorist attack on the Brooklyn Bridge. We will never forget March 1, 1994. We honor his mother, Devorah, for her unwavering work to combat hate and violence. May his memory be a blessing.
