Every time I'm in Toronto, like most people I am frustrated and annoyed by all the construction and noise. Now they're tearing up the streets of Curve Lake, putting in water mains. I'm running out of places to find peace and quiet.

I was listening to PHOTOGRAPH by Nickelback and I heard a syntax mistake. It's a nostalgia song about listening to music on "the radio", singing "all the songs we know." It's supposed to be past tense. Its supposed to be "songs we knew". Somebody needs to be told it's wrong?!

@TheDHTaylor Y'know, there is that store opening up in the Eatons Centre... (cough) Also, gender swaps are all the rage... "Jilly Black", coming Netflix this Christmas! (It makes it so you can deny being inspired by Billy Jack because no one would ever make the connection...)

I keep toying around with the idea of writing a modernized BILLY JACK (but don't have the rights). In the original movie, he knew Green Beret martial arts. I think in my version, he would know Okichitaw, a actual and unique Prairie Cree martial art. Just... where to get the hat?

@TheDHTaylor I believe they've been in the Eaton's Centre for a couple years now as a holiday pop-up store. I hope they're able to build on their previous success.

Things I learned today -Today is Native Woman's Equal Pay Day. It takes Native women 21 months to earn what white men earn in 12 months due to the disparity in pay. This holiday encourages us to raise awareness on such a topic and recognize the numerous struggles that women face.

Hey, this a message to all Indigenous theatre artists out there with something to say but nowhere to say it. The Nogojiwanong Indigenous Fringe Festival in Peterborough is putting the call out for performing and visual artists to come and strut their stuff this June.

I had friends ask me how I thought the Series would go and I said "Either the Jays get swept, or they'll push the series to it's max, there's no in between with this year's team". From last place last year all the way to extra innings in Game 7. This game can break your heart...

@TheDHTaylor And then the editing phase eventually arrives and its a whole new kind of frustration. You love your creation, but you have to objectively decide what does or doesn't serve the story... and that can be a very painful process.

Writing is one of the most frustrating things you can do. It's never fully what you want to say or how you want to say it, you're lucky when you reach the "it's good enough" phase. Or possibly "fingers crossed, this won't embarrass me." And yet, you love your creation.
