I’m at a farmer’s market and this coffee place offering Mexican chocolate is offering a Jaguar hot chocolate made with “home made jaguar milk”. Okay….

There’s an exercise club on my Rez that advertises itself as Pow wow cardio. I guess you start with traditional dance and sweat your way up to Fancy/Shawl. And I guess you work your way down into smaller hoops for the hoop dancing.

It seems "mohawk" is trending on X. Upon investigation, its all about hundreds of Mohawk haircuts, different colours and accessories. I myself wear an Anishnaabe hair style, its cool, flat and smells vaguely of otters.

Thinking of writing a novel along the lines of THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GREY. In it, the older and more depraved I get, the worse the picture on my Indian Status Card looks.

So many settlers seem unwilling to hear our side of history, focused on believing we were unlearned savages. I once spent 20 minutes explaining how our ancestors traded extensively in crypto-fur.

@TheDHTaylor “If it WERE a Star Trek convention” uses subjunctive. Here it refers to the mood used to describe things you wish were true or had hoped would happen. Use WERE instead of was, even though was is the simple past-tense form for singular subjects. cc: @ShanePennells the expert!
