@westcotttt Bait videos are out of control. Ie: This $100 camera takes infinite film photos. This lens makes movies all by itself. Etc It’s very cringe.

This is the reality of YouTube Photography space and going full time with it. You make a video you genuinely enjoy and it won't perform well in terms of engagement. It's no wonder people become slaves to the algorithm and just make trendy videos about gear people think they need to become better photographers.

@VahagnKarapety5 But it doesn’t look beautiful! It looks like a horrifying mimicry of real artists work. Yes it’s impressive that technology can do this, but why? What’s the point? Do you want to live in a world where images are made like this?

I get angry about AI 'art', because I feel that in the last few years ART SUSTAINED US, as we were literally trapped at home and needed a release. We've dismissed how precious that is, just so we can make a dumb, meaningless image by typing words into a machine.

@Pasinspire Yes. I think humans are special.

@RobLee0871 You get a very hollow satisfaction from making something with AI. I bet you could approximate your milky way photos, and initially be wowed by the results but, like you said, there isn't that same deep satisfaction gained from actually doing it.

All of these things were made by artists channelling their own lived-in, authentic human experience. That is something that AI will never be capable of. It will never break your heart and will never give you a better understanding of what it is to be alive.

Imagine going through those years without art made by humans? Without comfort movies? Without tv shows like Better Call Saul or Succession? Without songs that you played on repeat because they made you feel better? Without videogames you could get lost in for a little while?
