I have thrown all my basis of Arsenal's midfield future analysis to the bin in 2026. With the current challenges in league and CL, think the future requires different type of players than the profiles and setup we are used to discuss. Will revisit in the summer cause i have to review so much football to have clarity on this matter.

Vasa Kostov (2008) best as that forward-facing 8 with runners ahead of him. Played a couple of really nice through balls today. If he ends up in Italy, I’ve got no doubt they’ll move him a line deeper. That would also allow him to arrive into the final third, which suits him. Another very good match from him. That level of consistency at his age shouldn’t be taken for granted.
