We are proud to stand with our community to reject the noise. We cannot go back to “tough on crime” policies that are ineffective but politically popular. We support @VinSchiraldi and urge @iamwesmoore not to bend to these misguided calls. All kids deserve #carenotcages.

One of my former students was killed by a car this weekend as a pedestrian. Absolutely tragic and unnecessary death. I’m in my 8th year as a teacher and I’ve had 4 students killed by cars. When are our leaders going to step up and actually protect our children?
